On October 2, Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam - Region 2 Branch, announced that by early September 2025, the total loan balance for the social housing program in Dong Nai province had reached 527.6 billion VND, with over 1,200 borrowers accessing the credit.

Specifically, the social housing credit program targeting policy beneficiaries, implemented through the Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, disbursed 132 billion VND in the first eight months of 2025, representing nearly a 62% increase compared to the same period last year.
Building on this result, along with planned measures to expand the supply of social housing, Dong Nai is expected to make significant progress in meeting housing demand, ensuring social welfare, and promoting sustainable growth in the near future.
Currently, credit institutions in Dong Nai are carrying out social housing credit policies under two main programs: loans under Decree No. 100/2024/NĐ-CP, managed by the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, and loans under Government Resolution No. 33/2023/NQ-CP dated March 11, 2023, which outlines solutions to overcome obstacles and promote the safe, healthy, and sustainable development of the real estate market. Commercial banks are implementing the latter through a preferential credit package totaling 145 trillion VND.
