On October 17, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province held a meeting to review and propose handling plans for certification trademarks, collective trademarks, and geographical indications due to the reorganization of administrative units. At the meeting, representatives of relevant units and entities discussed solutions and handling plans for collective trademarks, including Gia Kiem water celery, Loc Thinh Pepper pepper, Cam My durian, Long Khanh wood ear mushroom, Thanh Luong - Binh Long free-range chicken, Thanh Luong - Binh Long leather-skinned longan, Loc Ninh pepper; as well as certification trademarks such as Tra Co giant freshwater prawn, Binh Phuoc rubber. In addition, there are geographical indications: grapefruit, rambutan, and cashew nut.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the province Vo Hoang Khai requested that the trademark management entities review and reach an agreement with the localities on appropriate handling plans for certification trademarks, collective trademarks, and geographical indications.

The specialized divisions of the Department of Science and Technology cooperate with relevant units to strengthen guidance for trademark and geographical indication management entities and localities to ensure the implementation of appropriate plans, in accordance with the procedures and regulations related to intellectual property.
