Reviewing and ensuring the timely disbursement of investment funds for science, technology, and innovation

On October 16, Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a working session with relevant departments, sectors, and units to discuss the disbursement of funds for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

According to the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, regarding the disbursement of funds for the province’s science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, by the end of September 2025, a total of 363 billion VND had been disbursed, accounting for 36% of the allocated budget. In terms of development investment expenditure, in 2025, eight units across the province have been implementing 12 development investment projects in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation with a total budget of 720 billion VND. By the end of September 2025, development investment expenditure in these fields reached 45.6% compared to the allocated estimate.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son requested relevant departments, branches and units to review and ensure compliance and timely disbursement of regular and development investment expenditures. He also emphasized the need to focus on implementing tasks in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, with particular attention given to education - training, healthcare, etc.

The provincial leader emphasized that the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology must enhance its responsibility and tasks as the standing agency, proactively consolidate, update, and regularly report to the Provincial People’s Committee on the progress of fund disbursement in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the province. At the same time, the department should coordinate with the Department of Finance to provide guidance and recommendations to relevant departments, branches, units and localities on preparing budgets, registering, and implementing tasks related to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in a practical, effective, and compliant manner.
