Nguyen Thi Lien, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Association for the support of people with disabilities, orphans, and poor patients, said the association aims to spread the spirit of compassion and solidarity from benefactors and sponsors to the patients at Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2 by organizing practical acts, such as preparing breakfast meals. To date, the association, in collaboration with Family Group No. 1, various clubs, volunteer groups, and philanthropists, has organized three breakfast distributions for patients at the hospital.

According to representatives of Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2, the facility currently houses around 1,000 inpatients, many of whom have been abandoned by their families or are homeless. In addition, a large number of patients suffer from severe illnesses requiring long-term treatment, leaving them in highly challenging and deprived living conditions. As such, visits and meal donations from volunteer groups are significant, not only providing patients with nourishing meals but also offering emotional support, which helps them recover and eventually reunite with their families.
