In recent years, Dong Nai has undergone a significant transformation, marked by the emergence of new urban areas and the development of increasingly modern transportation infrastructure. However, along with this development, the lasting image of a modern city is shaped not only by its buildings and roads but also by the civilized lifestyle of each citizen.
In reality, urban civilization does not arise from grand actions but starts with small, everyday behaviors. This endeavor includes strictly adhering to traffic laws, staying in the correct lane, refraining from running red lights, and understanding how to yield to one another at crowded intersections. A civilized city must first be a safe city, and safety can only be attained when each individual willingly obeys traffic laws.
Civility is also demonstrated through the awareness of safeguarding the living environment. A seemingly simple act, such as properly disposing of waste, sorting garbage at the source, or refraining from discharging waste into rivers and streams, contributes to the protection of our shared environment. It would be encouraging to see main streets remain clean and beautiful, free from residual garbage or spontaneous dumping sites that mar the urban landscape.
Additionally, behavioral culture is a clear indicator of a civilized society. From saying “thank you” and “sorry” at the right time, to forming orderly queues in public spaces and keeping noise to a minimum in residential areas, all of which reflect a sense of respect for others. Equally important is the spirit of protecting public property: refraining from scribbling on walls, picking flowers, or damaging trees in parks, so that public spaces truly belong to everyone.
Clearly, fostering a civilized urban lifestyle is not solely the government's responsibility but also that of every citizen. When individuals enhance their awareness, from their families and neighborhoods to workplaces and businesses, they contribute to creating a higher-quality, more modern, and friendlier living environment.
Dong Nai province is on the path of robust development, and the civic awareness of each resident will serve as a solid foundation for the locality to evolve into a livable city and a shining example of culture, economy, and community. Let us begin with the smallest actions today to beautify the overall picture of our province together.
