On October 14, the Women’s Union of An Vien commune, Dong Nai province, held its first Women’s Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The congress was attended by Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai province; the Standing Committee of the An Vien Commune Party Committee; and 110 official delegates representing 3,590 women members across the commune.

The Women’s Union of An Vien commune currently has 3,590 members, organized into 10 branches. During the past term, the union united and made efforts to effectively implement numerous movements and campaigns closely aligned with the practical needs of its members.
The union successfully achieved and exceeded all 12 targets set in its resolution. Each year, 99% of member households register to participate in the “5 Nos, 3 Cleans” family-building campaign, with 97% meeting the standards. The union implemented 17 projects and tasks contributing to new-style rural development, with a total budget exceeding 200 million VND. Moreover, it manages four “Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful” streets and one model street, and has installed six recycling collection cabinets, contributing to building a green - clean - civilized environment.
In addition, the union focused on innovating its activities and promoting the application of information technology by creating a fanpage, Zalo Official Account, and Zalo communication groups, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of connectivity and interaction with its members.
In terms of economic development, the union effectively conducted entrusted lending with the Trang Bom Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, managing 11 loan groups with a total outstanding loan of over 28 billion VND. This initiative enabled 506 members to access unsecured credit for building economic models, starting businesses, and participating in cooperatives and cooperative groups.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Women’s Union of An Vien commune has set 12 key targets and three breakthrough priorities, including: promoting digital transformation in union activities and accompanying women to improve digital capacity; assisting women in innovative entrepreneurship and sustainable economic development; and advancing gender equality across various sectors to contribute to implementing the national strategy on gender equality.
Speaking at the congress, Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province, praised the efforts and positive results of the Women’s Union of An Vien commune during the past term. He also urged the union to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, initiative, and creativity in the coming period. The union should continuously innovate its content and operational methods to suit the new situation, while improving the effectiveness of its communication work and strongly applying information technology. It is essential to vigorously promote emulation movements and campaigns linked to new-style rural development and the local socio-economic growth.
The congress announced the decision of the Provincial Women’s Union Standing Committee on appointing the Executive Committee of the Women’s Union of An Vien commune for the 2025-2030 term, comprising 17 members, with a Standing Committee of five members. Comrade Ngo Thi Ngoc Huong was appointed as President of the Women’s Union of An Vien commune for the 2025-2030 term.
