Enhancing awareness of key areas, especially strategic routes and locations

On October 18, a working delegation from the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, led by Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, worked with the Command of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard.

Lieutenant colonel Nguyen Anh Duc, Commander of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command, along with the head of Command Board and representatives from affiliated departments, received and worked with the delegation from the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission.

At the working session, Lieutenant colonel Nguyen Anh Duc, Commander of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command reported that Dong Nai now oversees a border area stretching over 258 kilometers. Following recent organizational restructuring, the former Binh Phuoc Provincial Border Guard Command has been reorganized into a division-level unit, now operating as the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command under the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command.

Overall, the political security and social order in the province’s border areas remain stable. The local economy has shown gradual development, and the living standards of border-area residents have steadily improved in recent years.

In recent times, the unit has thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented directives and resolutions issued by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard, as well as the Provincial Military Party Committee. These efforts have focused on military and defense affairs, border protection, and force building.

In his concluding remarks, Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, highly commended the achievements of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command in recent times. He particularly praised their effective fulfillment of assigned functions and duties, maintaining sovereignty and border security, which has significantly contributed to political stability and socio-economic development in the locality.

He urged the Border Guard Command to strengthen coordination in internal affairs, as well as in the prevention and combat of corruption and negative practices. He emphasized the need to continuously enhance situational awareness, especially in key and complex areas, and to proactively advise Party committees and local authorities on border management and crime prevention. Furthermore, he called for greater coordination with agencies within the internal affairs sector, particularly in reporting, information exchange, investigation, and verification of severe and complex cases that attract public attention.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command also presented flowers to the female members of the delegation from the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20).
