In response to the severe damage caused by storm No. 10 in the Northern and North Central provinces, trade union organizations across Dong Nai have recently launched a donation campaign to support those affected by the storm and floods, embodying the spirit of solidarity and "the strong help the weak". Accordingly, thousands of union members and workers from various agencies, units, and enterprises have actively responded, contributing and joining hands with the affected communities to help mitigate the storm's impacts.

At Far Eastern New Apparel (Vietnam) Ltd., located in Dong Phu commune, more than a week after the grassroots trade union launched its donation campaign, officials, union members, and workers have actively and enthusiastically contributed. As of the morning of October 15, the grassroots trade union had collected over 115 million VND. The entire amount has been transferred to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province to support those affected by storm No. 10 promptly.

Nguyen Thi Mai Chi, Chairwoman of the Trade Union at Far Eastern New Apparel (Vietnam) Ltd., stated that the grassroots trade union deeply values the collective support and active participation of the company’s entire workforce. The solidarity and compassion shown by officials, union members, and employees have made a meaningful contribution to helping fellow citizens affected by storms and floods overcome hardship and rebuild their lives.

* On the morning of October 15, the leadership, staff, and employees of Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company (based in Thong Nhat commune) joined efforts to raise funds in support of communities in Northern and Central Vietnam severely affected by recent storms and floods. A total of VND 103 million was raised, including nearly VND 83 million voluntarily contributed by staff and employees, with the company donating an additional VND 20 million.

At the fundraising launch ceremony, the leadership of Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company expressed appreciation to all officers, staff, and employees for their active participation and solidarity in supporting the relief effort. All donated funds will be transferred to the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, which will distribute the aid to residents in Northern and Central provinces severely affected by storms and floods. This timely support aims to help affected communities overcome the difficulties they face and stabilize their lives following the disasters.
Each contribution from trade union members and workers in Dong Nai, no matter how small, embodies trust, compassion, and warmth for those in storm-affected areas. In addition to material support, many union members and workers from various units and enterprises have volunteered to join relief teams and help deliver essential goods directly to affected residents, contributing to efforts to help them quickly stabilize their lives after the storms. These meaningful actions reflect a strong sense of community responsibility, humanitarian spirit, and the proud tradition of Vietnam’s working class and trade union organizations.
