Dong Nai Technology University makes debut at the 2025 National Third Division Football Championship

At the 2025 National Third Division Football Championship, Dong Nai province will be represented by two teams: Dong Nai FC and the Dong Nai Technology University team. This occasion is the university team's first appearance in the national tournament.

The 2025 National Third Division Football Championship is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 23, with 17 teams from across the country participating. As part of the official national competition system, the tournament provides amateur clubs and university teams with opportunities for development and match experience, while also serving as a platform to select teams for promotion to the 2026 National Second Division.

This year’s tournament includes 17 teams divided into three groups. Dong Nai is represented by two teams: Dong Nai FC and Dong Nai Technology University FC.

Teams will compete in a double round-robin format within their groups to determine rankings. The top three teams from each group, along with the best second-placed team across all groups, will earn promotion to the 2026 National Second Division. In cases of unequal group sizes, when selecting the best second-placed team, results against the bottom-placed team in larger groups will not be counted to ensure fairness in the number of matches played.

The official draw and match schedule for the tournament took place virtually at 10:00 a.m. on October 9.

Matches will be held at three main venues: Group A at Hoai Duc Stadium (Hanoi), Group B at Buon Ma Thuot Stadium (Dak Lak), and Group C at Thoi Tu and Tan Hiep Stadiums (Hoc Mon commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
