According to Nguyen Thi Quy, Deputy Director of the provincial Social Security Office, following the provincial-level administrative reorganization, Dong Nai issued two resolutions offering financial support for health insurance premiums for specific groups of residents. These include: Resolution No. 10/2022/NQ-HDND, issued by the provincial People’s Council, on support levels for health insurance contributions for certain groups in Dong Nai during 2022-2025; and Resolution No. 06/2024/NQ-HDND, issued by the provincial People’s Council, on support levels for health insurance contributions for specific groups in Binh Phuoc during 2024-2025.

Since 2022, under these two resolutions, Dong Nai has supported health insurance premiums for over 643,000 individuals, covering 20% to 100% of their contributions, with a total budget exceeding 497.4 billion VND.

To continue supporting vulnerable groups in the coming period, the provincial Social Security Office has advised the People's Committee to propose the development of a resolution by the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of health insurance contribution support for specific groups in Dong Nai during the 2026–2030 period. This measure aims to enable disadvantaged individuals who cannot afford health insurance to access healthcare services, thereby contributing to social welfare and helping achieve the annual health insurance coverage targets assigned by the Government and the Provincial Party Committee. The draft resolution is expected to be submitted to the 10th Provincial People's Council for review and approval at its regular year-end session in 2025.
