Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television organizes Mid-Autumn Festival for children in remote areas

On September 30, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television coordinated with C.P. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, Hanoi - Dong Nai Eye Hospital, VTC Digital Television, Media & Broadcast Technology Co., Ltd., Loc Hung Commune People’s Committee, and other sponsors to organize the “Mid-Autumn Festival for Children” 2025 program for children in remote areas of Dong Nai province.

At the program, 200 children from Loc Hung commune with difficult circumstances were examined by doctors from Hanoi-Dong Nai Eye Hospital, received free medication for eye diseases, enjoyed a music program, special lion dance performances, and participated in traditional folk games, all while receiving quality meals.

The organizers awarded 30 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrated strong academic performance in Loc Hung commune. They also distributed 200 gift sets, including mooncakes, lanterns, and candies, to local children. Additionally, the children participated in a festive meal and lantern procession to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Lam Thi Ngoc Nhi, a student from Loc Hung commune, shared: “I was very happy and excited to take part in the program. I got to enjoy delicious food, receive gifts, and watch a lively lion dance performance. I've long wished to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival by carrying lanterns and eating mooncakes, and now that wish has come true.”

Speaking at the program, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television Cao Quoc Sang said: Alongside fulfilling its political mission, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television pays great attention to improving people’s lives through practical actions. The “Mid-Autumn Festival for Children” program is organized annually by Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, with the aim of bringing joy to children in remote areas with difficult circumstances. At the same time, it aims to spread the spirit of mutual support throughout society, contributing to the care of impoverished children and fostering solidarity among ethnic communities in the province.

In addition, the program helps create a healthy, fun, and educational environment for children, allowing them to learn more about Vietnamese traditional culture and motivating them to be enthusiastic and perform well in the 2025-2026 school year.

Hoang Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Loc Hung Commune Youth Union, stated that many children in the commune continue to face challenging circumstances. This Mid-Autumn Festival, the Youth Union mobilized support and coordinated with various agencies and organizations, both within and outside the province, to organize joyful activities for local children. Among them, the program organized by Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio & Television featured many meaningful and practical activities that brought joy and laughter to the children.

According to leaders of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, in addition to the program held in Loc Hung commune, the organizers will continue to provide meals, mooncakes, lanterns, and scholarships to disadvantaged children, ethnic minority children in Dak Lua commune, and students at Vu A Dinh Primary School in Binh Tan commune.
