The committee outlined a four-phase schedule, which will begin with 13 projects in 2025. Construction is already underway on six of these resettlement sites, with a further 30 scheduled to commence in 2026, followed by 24 from 2027 to 2028, and another 22 in the 2029-2030 period.
The preliminary total investment for these 89 resettlement projects is estimated at over VND 10.3 trillion. This budget was calculated based on the aggregate resettlement demand from local districts and applies the 2024 official construction standards issued by the Ministry of Construction under Decision No. 409/QD-BXD, dated April 11, 2025, which promulgates official construction unit prices and composite construction costs for structural components.
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee (UBND) commissioned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to compile a comprehensive report on resettlement demand from local districts and units for projects scheduled from 2026 to 2030. The findings indicated a total provincial requirement for more than 47,000 resettlement plots. Each plot is planned with an average area of 100m², and within the land-use structure of these resettlement and urban areas, the average proportion allocated for residential land is approximately 45%.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, to ensure resettlement for all residents whose land is acquired, Dong Nai has set a clear goal: the total number of resettlement plots must be equal to or greater than the number of households affected by infrastructure projects.
