According to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) branch in Dong Nai province, the province’s total social policy credit capital has so far reached over 11.75 trillion VND, of which more than 2.3 trillion VND comes from the local budget entrusted to the branch. From this capital source, about 212,600 borrowers are currently accessing policy credit loans totaling over 11.72 trillion VND.

Le Ba Chuyen, Director of the Dong Nai-based VBSP, said that the number of policy loan beneficiaries is expected to continue increasing in the coming period, along with a rise in loan amounts. Given this context and with the approval of the provincial People’s Committee, the Dong Nai-based VBSP is taking the lead in coordinating efforts to develop a project on social policy credit investment for poor households, near-poor households, and other kinds of policy beneficiaries using local budget funds in Dong Nai province for the 2026-2030 period.
According to the draft project, during the 2026-2030 period, the provincial and communal budgets will allocate and balance entrusted funds to the Dong Nai-based VBSP to better meet the growing demand for social policy credit capital in the province. The goal is to ensure that 100% of poor, near-poor, newly escaped-from-poverty, and average-income households with eligible conditions can access loans. In addition, the program aims to support approximately 42,000 disadvantaged students, about 1,000 individuals who have completed prison sentences, and around 140,000 workers in accessing loans for job creation, education, and the construction or renovation of clean water and sanitation facilities.
The Dong Nai-based VBSP is currently coordinating with relevant agencies to promptly finalize the draft project.
