During the 2023-2025 term, the Bu Gia Map Commune Farmers’ Association achieved many notable results. It currently has 8 branches and 16 active groups that operate effectively across the commune. The association admitted 106 new members, bringing its total membership to 957. Members actively participated in emulation movements, notably the campaign “Farmers emulate in good production and business, unite to help one another get rich and sustainably reduce poverty,” with 100% of the registered targets fully achieved. The association mobilized members and farmers to donate 2,300 square meters of land and 300 million VND to support new-style rural development. Notably, it managed a total credit balance of over 22.3 billion VND, creating conditions for 375 member households to develop production.

With the spirit of “Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Cooperation - Development,” the congress clearly identified two breakthrough missions for the 2025-2030 term. The first is to develop the economy associated with eco-tourism, turning it into a key economic sector tied to forest conservation, preservation of traditional culture, and effective utilization of local advantages. This includes promoting community-based and experiential tourism while highlighting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities. The second breakthrough is to develop the agricultural economy linked to new-style rural development; promote clean and organic farming; apply science, technology, and digital transformation in production; and restructure crops and livestock suitable to local conditions.

To effectively implement the above directions and goals, during the 2025-2030 term, the Bu Gia Map Commune Farmers’ Association will focus on eight key targets. These include: ensuring 100% of officials and members are propagandized, disseminated, and educated about the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, as well as the association’s resolutions and directives; admitting at least 20-25 new members each year; establishing at least three new professional farmer groups specializing in cocoa or coffee cultivation; and achieving 98% of farmer members participating in health insurance.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers’ Association Nguyen Van Giang urged the commune-level Farmers’ Association to focus on five key tasks for the new term. These tasks include: strengthening branches and groups, and expanding membership with a focus on young and ethnic minority cadres; promoting the application of science and technology, developing clean agriculture and value chain linkages; effectively implementing social welfare programs, vocational training, and digital technology guidance; organizing dialogues, enhancing supervision and social criticism while maintaining security and order in border areas. The emphasis is also placed on developing ecological agriculture linked with community-based tourism and digital transformation, aiming to establish “digital farmers in border areas.”
