Construction control tightened around Chua Chan Mountain and Nui Le Lake

On the afternoon of October 6, Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, inspected and worked with the Xuan Loc commune People’s Committee to review the progress of dossier preparation for the Chua Chan Mountain Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Project and the Nui Le Lake Urban Area Project. The meeting was attended by leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee Office and representatives of several departments and sectors.

According to a report from the Xuan Loc Commune People's Committee, the Urban Development and Tourism Project at Chua Chan Mountain and Nui Le Lake has been updated in the planning, covering a total area of nearly 1,500 hectares. Phase 1 involves investments in the summit area of Chua Chan Mountain, spanning approximately 107 hectares, and the Nui Le Lake Urban Area Project, covering an area of over 252 hectares. Phase 2 involves investing in projects surrounding Chua Chan Mountain, which spans a total area of nearly 1,100 hectares. This data includes residential areas at the mountain’s foothills on the eastern, southeastern, southern, western, northwestern, and northern sides.

For the Chua Chan Mountain Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Project in Xuan Loc commune, regional planning, general construction planning, and land-use planning have been basically completed, ensuring integration with projects under the Chua Chan Mountain Development Scheme. The project contributes to promoting transport infrastructure and enhancing socio-economic development linkages for the locality.

The project was approved for investment policy by the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee in June 2025 and is now moving forward with subsequent implementation steps.

The implementation of various planning tasks for the Nui Le Lake Urban Area project has been ensured and approved by the provincial People’s Committee, facilitating the project’s development.

To ensure synchronized transport infrastructure once the Chua Chan Mountain Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Project in Xuan Loc commune, Dong Nai province is completed and put into operation, the Xuan Loc commune People’s Committee proposed that the Provincial People’s Committee and relevant departments, agencies provide specific guidance on dossiers, procedures, and prioritize funding for the implementation of road projects connecting to the main project. At the same time, relevant departments and sectors were instructed to facilitate the locality in implementing and accelerating the project’s progress, so that it can be put into operation soon, creating momentum for the local socio-economic development.

For the provincial departments and agencies, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son requested the prompt issuance of documents to guide project implementation, providing a legal basis for local authorities to carry out the projects and resolving any existing difficulties. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also requested a review and adjustment of the management model of the Chua Chan Mountain Historical Site, including a re-examination of regulations on management functions and responsibilities, and coordination with relevant units to ensure effective oversight. Particularly, construction activities around Chua Chan Mountain and Nui Le Lake must be strictly controlled, with serious penalties imposed on violations of the construction order.
