Applying digital skills in startups and career development

On October 4, the Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Dong Nai Campus of Vietnam National University of Forestry, organized a conference on connecting the innovative startup ecosystem, under the theme: “Applying digital skills in startups and entrepreneurship.”

During the program, students of the Dong Nai Campus of Vietnam National University of Forestry heard from experts on a range of topics, including: the digital skill requirements of businesses; essential competencies for students in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution; a competency framework for students in the context of digital transformation; innovation and local entrepreneurship as a bridge connecting the State, businesses, academic institutions, and the community; and the rollout of the national domain “.vn” to establish an online presence.

Speaking at the event, Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, stated that the conference aims to create a forum connecting state management agencies, experts, businesses, and students to promote the innovative startup ecosystem in Dong Nai province. He emphasized that the event also aims to strengthen coordination between state management agencies and higher education institutions in building and developing the innovative startup ecosystem, support students in accessing knowledge and skills related to innovative entrepreneurship, and facilitate connections with experts and businesses to foster practical entrepreneurial thinking. The department, along with other state management agencies, will consistently accompany and support students’ ideas from universities so that they can be transformed into practical startup projects, contributing to building a dynamic, innovative, and sustainable Dong Nai.

At the conference, the Department of Science and Technology and the Dong Nai Campus of Vietnam National University of Forestry signed a cooperation agreement to develop the innovative startup ecosystem. Additionally, the university formalized collaboration programs with the Dong Nai Provincial Innovation and Startup Advisory Council and the Long Thanh Innovation and Startup Center.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Internet Center and P.A Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented 3,000 ".vn" domain names as part of the online presence program using the national domain “.vn” in Dong Nai province. This initiative aims to promote and support citizens, businesses, household enterprises, and students in establishing a reliable and secure online presence through digital services utilizing the national “.vn” domain. The program seeks to enhance digital skills, facilitate access to and effective use of digital tools, and contribute to advancing the comprehensive digital transformation of the province.
