A machine manufacturer for farmers

Linh Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (based in Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) specializes in producing and supplying a variety of agricultural machinery to the market. Its products are not only well-received across provinces and cities nationwide but are also exported to regional countries such as Laos and Cambodia. The company was recognized as one of the top three at the Vietnam Innovation Hub Award 2023 and received the 2023 Innovation Award.

The owner of the enterprise, Nguyen Van Linh, a start-up farmer who invested in manufacturing agricultural machinery, also began by addressing the actual needs of production. Thanks to his achievements in inventions and innovations in agricultural machinery production, Linh was honored as the Farmer's Scientist in 2024 and achieved the title of Excellent Vietnamese Farmer in 2025.

Stemming from reality

The opportunity for young farmer Nguyen Van Linh to be involved in inventing and manufacturing agricultural machinery began when he self-studied and researched several tools and machines for use in his own garden. Nearby farmers saw the effectiveness, so they hired him for services, and then some ordered machinery.

Seeing the great market potential, Linh started producing agricultural machinery for the market. His products are known to customers nationwide thanks to farmers who bought and used them effectively and then introduced them to many others.

My greatest aspiration is to contribute my skills to the development of mechanization in Vietnam. I hope to access support capital to produce more lines of agricultural machinery at prices that are more accessible to people and of higher quality.

In 2023, Linh Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established. Farmer-turned-entrepreneur Nguyen Van Linh shared: "I am a barefoot farmer, so the journey to becoming the owner of an enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery was very arduous. I didn’t receive much formal education; all the knowledge I have accumulated in this field comes from hands-on labor and from the demands of supporting farmers' production. I learned how to operate a lathe and then opened a facility specializing in the repair of agricultural tools and machinery for farmers. The process of studying, tinkering with repairs, and gaining an understanding of the structure and operating mechanisms of both domestically produced and imported machinery has helped me acquire a great deal of knowledge."

Linh added, "My philosophy when manufacturing machinery is to make machines that are very simple, easy to operate, and easy to find replacement parts for, to suit farmers' needs. In machine manufacturing, I also pay close attention to farmers' product requirements in order to provide advice and design the most suitable machines. I engrave the company name and phone number on each product so that users can call immediately if they need anything."

Linh admits that he chose a path of learning that is slow but steady. When he founded the enterprise, he began exploring and learning about management, market development, and brand building for his products. The core value he always strives to uphold is a "quality reputation."

Linh recounted: "My joy comes from farmers using the machinery and finding it effective. They call to thank me, sometimes even giving me a durian or a chicken, but behind those gestures is a deep recognition. That gives me strong motivation to stay committed to what I’m doing."

Aspiration to contribute to agricultural mechanization

Linh Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is currently producing and supplying eight types of agricultural machinery to the market, including rubber latex pumps, rubber leaf blowers, drainage ditch excavators and pipe layers, flail mowers, compact sprayers specialized for durian, orange, and grapefruit orchards, and multi-purpose sprayers. Prices range from several tens of millions to several hundreds of millions of VND, depending on capacity and model.

Talking about the products currently favored in the market, Linh shared: "The '5-in-1' multi-purpose plant protection sprayer is the product I am most passionate about. I developed it more than 10 years ago, but it remains the 'king' product in the sprayer market today. The machine integrates multiple functions, including spraying pesticides, a smoke fumigation system to eliminate pests, a high-voltage electric shock system for killing stem borers, a particularly difficult pest to treat on fruit trees today, and a leaf blower system for preventing and controlling garden fires.

Among these, the spraying function offers numerous advantages: the machine can hold up to 1,000 liters of plant protection chemicals and spray up to 3 hectares of crops per hour. Notably, it can spray pesticides higher than 30 meters and is designed to deliver extremely fine mist particles. The machine’s wind system helps propel the chemical mist far and deep, reaching every crevice of the leaves and tree trunks. The pesticide layer is split into two, sprayed from below and coated from above, thereby optimizing pest control.

This machine helps save 25% of plant protection chemicals and eliminates dozens of labor days compared to traditional methods. Importantly, it only requires one person who knows how to operate a tractor, with no need for highly skilled workers."

The products of the passionate farmer Nguyen Van Linh significantly contribute to mechanizing agricultural production, helping to free up labor, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency for farmers. Linh continues to strive every day to improve and enhance product quality.
