189 outstanding students in Dong Nai from disadvantaged backgrounds receive scholarships

On October 16, at Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted (in Tam Hiep ward), the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai held a scholarship award ceremony sponsored by Sojitz Corporation for 2025. The scholarships were presented to 189 academically excellent students from disadvantaged backgrounds across the province.

Established 12 years ago, the Sojitz scholarship has been awarded 13 times to outstanding students in Dong Nai province. Sojitz Corporation sponsors the scholarship along with its member companies, including Sojitz Vietnam Co., Ltd., Long Binh Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., Long Duc Investment Co., Ltd., and Viet Nhat Fertilizer Company.

In 2025, Sojitz Corporation continues its scholarship program by awarding 189 scholarships to junior and senior high school students, each valued at 4 million VND. The total scholarship amount awarded in 2025 is 756 million VND.

During his speech, Pham Hong Thang, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, sincerely thanked Sojitz Corporation and its member companies for their meaningful contributions to Dong Nai’s education sector over the years. This support has included awarding more than 2,150 scholarships, totaling nearly 8.6 billion VND, to junior and senior high school students across the province

The support not only offers significant material encouragement but also serves as a powerful source of motivation, helping students overcome difficulties and strive for academic success. Notably, in the past school year, many recipients of Sojitz Corporation's 2024–2025 scholarships were admitted to universities and colleges, including some who gained entrance to top-tier universities in Ho Chi Minh City. This achievement underscores the perseverance and determination of these students in overcoming adversity and excelling in their studies.

At the scholarship award ceremony, a representative of Sojitz Corporation affirmed the company's continued commitment to supporting academically gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
