In recent times, police in Dong Nai province have received numerous letters of appreciation from the public. These letters are not only expressions of gratitude, but also reflections of solidarity and the people's strong trust in the officers and soldiers on the frontlines, safeguarding the peace and safety of the community.

Letters filled with affection and trust

While tending to her mother, who was hospitalized after a traffic accident on August 11 in Binh An commune, 25-year-old Bui Thi Phuong Dieu (a resident of Binh An commune, Dong Nai province) could not hide her emotions upon hearing that the Dong Nai provincial police force had found the person who caused the accident.

As soon as she received the news, Dieu wrote a letter of gratitude to Major General Nguyen Duc Hai, Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police, and to the leaders of the professional units for swiftly launching an investigation into her mother's accident. In her letter, she recounted the time and location when her mother, Nguyen Thi Phuong (53), was struck by a car, suffering severe leg injuries. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Following the incident, Dieu and her family submitted a petition to the Provincial Police and also reported the case via the hotline of the Provincial Police Director. With this information, the Director directed professional units to begin the investigation promptly. Within a short period, the police successfully identified the driver who caused the traffic accident and proceeded with the investigation.

According to Dieu, even while still undergoing treatment in the hospital, her mother and the family were very happy and deeply moved by the swift and dedicated response of the police.

Dieu shared: "Our family was deeply moved when we were informed that police had identified the driver responsible for the accident. Throughout the investigation, officers returned to the scene multiple times and conducted a thorough inquiry. This reflects the attention and leadership of the provincial police and their strong commitment to protecting the legitimate rights of the people."

Not only young people, but many residents in localities have also sent heartfelt letters to the police, expressing their gratitude for the police agency's handling of related cases.

In a handwritten letter, Dao Trong Nghia (residing in Cam My commune, Dong Nai province) expressed his feelings to the police for quickly solving the theft of his family's durians.

In a handwritten letter to the Cam My Commune Police and local security force, Dao Trong Nghia expressed his appreciation after police quickly solved the case involving the theft of his family's durians. He wrote: "Thanks to your strong sense of responsibility, dedication, and coordinated efforts, the thief was promptly arrested. Your enthusiasm, courage, and commitment to serving the people have left a deep impression on us."

In the letter, Dao Trong Nghia expressed his absolute trust in the police force and affirmed that their timely actions not only protect people's property but also strengthen confidence, creating peace of mind and excitement within the community.

Each letter tells a story of everyday life, serving as a vivid testimony to the close bond between the people and the police force.

Spreading the Movement of All People Protecting National Security

From simple thank-you letters, a powerful message has been affirmed: the people always stand side by side with the police, sharing the mission of safeguarding security and order. The trust of the people is a source of strength, a solid rear guard that inspires the police force to carry out their duties with even greater determination.

To further spread this spirit, the Dong Nai Provincial Police have been actively advancing the "All People Protect National Security" movement. This initiative is not merely a slogan, but has been transformed into concrete actions through many creative models closely connected to people's daily lives.

In recent times, many residential areas have implemented security camera models, enabling police to detect and handle violations promptly. Initiatives such as Self-Managed Security and Order Teams and Safe Boarding Houses have strengthened the role of community self-governance and fostered closer ties between grassroots police and residents in the locality.

The direct and enthusiastic participation of the people has become the police's reliable "eyes and ears," making important contributions to crime prevention and fight.

In addition, the police force has expanded channels for receiving information and crime reports, including hotlines, suggestion boxes, and information technology applications.

In particular, the Provincial Police have strengthened their hotline system by providing the phone numbers of the Provincial Police Director, Chief Inspector of the Provincial Police, Criminal Police on Duty… Additionally, police forces at various units and localities have set up fan pages sharing the contact numbers of leaders and commanders so that residents can promptly report security and order-related issues.

The letters sent by citizens to the police in recent times are not only words of gratitude but also heartfelt encouragement, extra motivation for officers to remain steadfast on the front lines. The companionship of the people is the firm fulcrum enabling the police to fulfill their mission of maintaining peace in life.

Speaking at the "All People Protect National Security" Day (held in Binh Loc ward, Dong Nai province, in late July 2025), Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung suggested: In recent times, the province has developed many effective and creative approaches in building the "All People Protect National Security" movement. In the time ahead, the locality must continue to promote these innovative approaches. The police force must promptly grasp and address the legitimate and lawful needs and aspirations of the people. In addition, it is essential to regularly innovate and enhance the quality and effectiveness of the All People Protect National Security movement by linking it with other local campaigns and initiatives. This approach ensures practicality, alignment with real-life conditions, while maintaining security and order in every agency and unit, with a strong emphasis on the grassroots level, encouraging broad public participation, and truly turning it into a festival of the people.
