The ward enjoys a favorable geographic location, adjacent to major industrial zones and situated along key transportation arteries such as National Highway 1, Nguyen Ai Quoc Street, Pham Van Thuan Street, Dong Khoi Street, and others.

Leveraging existing advantages for development

Tam Hiep ward was formed through the merger of four former Bien Hoa city wards: Tam Hiep, Tan Hiep, Tan Mai, and Binh Da, covering more than 10.8 km², with a population of over 139,400 people.

Currently, the ward hosts many large-scale commercial centers, supermarkets, and markets in the province, such as Vincom Bien Hoa, GO! Tan Hiep, Co.opmart Bien Hoa, Tan Hiep Market… along with a series of convenience stores, specialty shops, and bustling shopping streets like Pham Van Thuan, Dong Khoi, Phan Trung…

In the new term, Tam Hiep Ward will reorganize its commercial and service spaces toward greater professionalism and modernity. At the same time, it will implement rational planning for streets and potential development zones, establish specialized commercial streets and centralized service areas connected to urban culture and consumer demand, and accelerate digital transformation in economic development.

Hoai Thanh (resident of Tam Hiep ward) said: “I see the retail system in Tam Hiep ward expanding in scale, network, and service quality. This gives urban residents like me more shopping and consumption options. I hope that in the future, the ward will introduce more modern trade and service models, expand e-commerce channels, digital economy, and night-time economy… to meet the increasingly high tastes and consumption needs of local people.”

At the same time, Tam Hiep ward has a large population and a youthful workforce, serving as an important asset for developing new economic models such as the night-time economy and the digital economy. Its urban space is well-suited for compact, smart, and multi-functional city planning, optimizing land use, promoting public transportation, and advancing modern services.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the People’s Council of Tam Hiep ward, shared: The ward’s Party Committee has identified the need to focus on key and breakthrough tasks to fully exploit the advantages of a compact urban area with the ward’s existing potential. The ward emphasizes developing trade and services linked with digital transformation, leveraging its position as a gateway center with major traffic routes. This undertaking will create modern service and commercial areas, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in the future.

Expanding modern retail and digital services

Tam Hiep Ward currently hosts many bustling service and commercial centers, retail chains, and consumer services. The ward is also implementing several key projects. These are favorable conditions for developing trade and services, especially modern retail and digital service models.

Nguyen Duong The Kiet, Manager of Kohnan Bien Hoa Supermarket at Vincom Bien Hoa Commercial Center (Tam Hiep ward), said: Since opening in 2021, the supermarket has continuously expanded its product range to meet the increasingly diverse needs of customers. The supermarket currently offers more than 60,000 products across key categories, including kitchenware, furniture, pet supplies, camping and outdoor gear, and stationery.

In the near future, the supermarket will continue to develop into a center for modern household goods supply. It will not only be a shopping destination but also a hub providing products and solutions for modern, sustainable living for residents in the locality and neighboring areas.

Similarly, Trang Phuc, Head of Marketing at Co.opmart Bien Hoa (Tam Hiep ward), stated: “In recent times, the supermarket has launched a series of major stimulus programs, helping to attract shoppers from Tam Hiep and neighboring wards. We focus on integrating local products and specialties, especially those under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, onto our shelves, while also promoting digital payments, e-commerce, and green consumption initiatives. These efforts aim to enhance service quality and better engage consumers continuously.”

In the coming time, Tam Hiep ward will promote growth, enhance competitiveness, and strive to leverage the potential of a dense urban population to boost the green economy, night economy, digital economy, and modern, sustainable development. In particular, the ward will focus on developing a modern, sustainable trade and service network suitable for local characteristics, concentrating on high-value sectors such as food and beverage, finance, banking, insurance, healthcare, and digital technology… In addition, the ward encourages investment in commercial centers, mini supermarkets, convenience stores, and service chains.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh added that the Tam Hiep ward will prioritize attracting investment and facilitating the development of high-value projects in services, commerce, and social infrastructure. At the same time, the ward will support investors in swiftly navigating administrative procedures, while ensuring a transparent, stable, and business-friendly investment environment.

Tam Hiep Ward will continue to drive comprehensive digital transformation across digital government, digital economy, and digital society, with a strong emphasis on applying information technology in management and administration. These efforts aim to ensure steady progress and position the ward as a model urban area of Dong Nai Province.
