In all development achievements of the country, transportation infrastructure is always considered the “backbone” of the economy. For Dong Nai province, identifying the development of a diverse, synchronized, modern transportation infrastructure system for intra-provincial, intra-regional and inter-regional connectivity as one of province’s breakthrough tasks is stated in the Draft Political Report submitted to the first Dong Nai provincial Party Congress for 2025–2030 term. This reflects a strategic vision and demonstrates the solidarity and strong determination of the entire Party and people in the province on the path to a new era.
During the 2020–2025 term, Dong Nai witnessed a strong transformation. From key projects such as Long Thanh International Airport, expressways Bien Hoa–Vung Tau, Dau Giay–Phan Thiet, Ben Luc–Long Thanh, Gia Nghia–Chon Thanh, to resolving long-standing “bottlenecks” in infrastructure, all have been clear evidence of the spirit of “words matching deeds”, daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility on the part of provincial leaders.
The most important highlight has been the shift in action mindset, working in the spirit of clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear products, clear timelines, and clear authority. With this determination, site clearance - the most difficult step -has seen breakthroughs. Projects that had been stalled for many years have now been resolved and set into motion, strengthening the people’s trust in the Party’s leadership.
Not only at the provincial leadership level, but also from the grassroots, the consensus, joint efforts, and unity of officials, Party members, and the people have created a combined strength for national key projects to be implemented at lightning speed.
It can be said that the spirit of solidarity and determination has turned what once seemed difficult into reality. The image of Dong Nai where major infrastructure projects are being launched everywhere and all efforts are focused on the mission of transportation development, has become a vivid testament to the collective strength. From leadership to the people, from offices to every neighborhood and hamlet, all are united toward the common goal of building Dong Nai into a leading growth pole of the Southern Key Economic Region.
However, today’s success is only a foundation. The road ahead still poses many challenges, such as congestion in densely populated urban areas, a lack of synchronization among modes of transport, and slow progress in some major projects. Without consensus and determination, these obstacles could completely hold back the momentum of development.
Therefore, the spirit of solidarity and determination must continue to be promoted even more strongly in the 2025–2030 term of the province. Being united to mobilize the strength of the entire people, staying determined to remove each “bottleneck” in planning, site clearance, investment, and management. Dong Nai must continue to rely on this strength to implement synchronously and modernize transportation infrastructure projects, integrate modes of transport, develop logistics, and at the same time pay attention to intra-regional transportation to meet people’s daily needs.
Experience shows that the greatest success of the past term in Dong Nai lies not only in local roads, bridges, airports, or seaports, but also in the trust and social consensus that have been fostered. This is an invaluable “spiritual asset” for the provincial Party organization and the people of the province to move forward on their new journey. By maintaining solidarity and multiplying determination, Dong Nai will turn its aspiration for rapid and sustainable development into reality, worthy of its role as a national locomotive and growth pole.
