Realizing the aspiration to take off

On September 29 and 30, the first Dong Nai provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term takes place at Dong Nai Provincial Convention Center. This is an important political event of the Party Organization, authorities, and the people from all walks of life in the province. The congress has particularly significant agenda items of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and setting directions, objectives, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

On the eve of the congress, an event not only delighted the people of the province but also became a source of pride for the whole nation when Long Thanh International Airport officially welcomed its first calibration flight. The event marked an important technical milestone on the roadmap to basically complete the project before December 19, 2025, and put it into operation in the first half of 2026.

The unique advantages from Long Thanh International Airport and the multimodal transport infrastructure system, including 10 key expressways that have been completed, are under construction, and will be implemented in the province, has opened up development space and golden opportunities for Dong Nai to take off in the new term.

Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, the Party organizations of both former Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces had every reason to be proud of their solidarity, resilience in overcoming difficulties and challenges, and leadership in achieving fairly comprehensive results. The economy grew well, the economic structure shifted positively and in the right direction; agricultural production gradually moved toward modernization, regional connectivity infrastructure investment received focused direction, and FDI inflows increased. Culture, society, education, and health care were invested in and developed; social security received attention, and people’s living standards improved significantly.

After the merger, Dong Nai became one of the large localities in the country, with an area of over 12.7 thousand km² and a population of nearly 4.5 million. This is not only a change in administrative boundaries but also opens up a new development space, with abundant resources, creating a foundation to realize the aspiration to rise.

The draft political report to be presented at the first provincial Party congress for the 2025-2030 term clearly defined Dong Nai’s vision to 2030: the average GRDP growth rate is expected to reach 10% or higher per year, GRDP scale will reach over 1.2 million billion VND, and GRDP per capita will exceed 250 million VND. The economic structure will strongly shift toward industry - construction and services. These are major targets reflecting the aspiration for sustainable growth and deep integration in the new era of the nation.

To realize the aspiration to take off in the new era, the draft political report to be presented at the congress has identified 3 strategic breakthroughs. First, the quality of the contingent of cadres must be enhanced, especially key officials at all levels, along with developing high-quality human resources. Second, all resources must be mobilized and effectively used to develop economic, technical, digital, and social infrastructure. Third, focus must be placed on promoting science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, associated with administrative reform, building a professional administration that serves the people and enterprises. This is the “key” to opening the door for rapid and sustainable development, enabling Dong Nai to rise strongly in the digital era.

Today’s Dong Nai already possesses a vast land for economic development, the strengthening of national defense-security; a large population to carry out initiatives; as well as “favorable opportunities and geographical advantage.” The crucial factor to turn the aspiration to rise and take off into reality right now is “human harmony,” which is the spirit of solidarity and consensus to seize opportunities and repel risks.

The aspiration to rise and take off is not only through political determination but also through specific, feasible figures. This is the commitment of the entire Party organization, authorities, and people of Dong Nai - united as one, pioneering, realizing aspirations in the new era. This is also the expectation of ethnic communities in the province.
