On the morning of September 28, ahead of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, leaders of the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai province offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery in Dong Tam commune.

The delegation included Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province Huynh Thi Hang; Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son; Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee Ha Anh Dung; Colonel Vo Thanh Danh, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command; along with Provincial Party Committee members and representatives from 40 communes and wards in the Northern Dong Nai area, the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, and other armed forces units stationed in the region.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation laid a wreath bearing the words "Eternal gratitude to heroic martyrs," observed a moment of silence, and offered incense at the memorial monument to express their deep respect and gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation, homeland protection, and the happiness of the people.

Looking back on the achievements, particularly during the 2020-2025 term, the Party organization, government, and people of Dong Nai Province have made concerted efforts to overcome countless difficulties and challenges, attaining comprehensive and significant results. The economy has maintained steady growth, with the economic structure shifting in the right direction. The province recorded an average annual growth rate of 6.87%; its total gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 682.41 trillion VND, and GRDP per capita stood at 152.14 million VND. Robust investment in transport, urban, and industrial infrastructure has created strong momentum for regional development.

Moreover, awareness of the role and importance of culture has been significantly heightened across the entire political system and among the people. Numerous large-scale cultural and tourism events have been organized, marking a notable transformation in the cultural industry. Efforts to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of ethnic groups have been intensified and closely linked with tourism development. The education and training sector has experienced positive progress, gradually fulfilling the demands of human resource development, raising public knowledge, and nurturing talents. The school system has continued to expand, and teaching staff have been trained and developed to meet the requirements of educational innovation.
The proportion of schools meeting national standards in the province has reached 69.78%. The healthcare system has received increased investment and development, with the quality of public health care gradually improving. The province now has 10 doctors and 30.5 hospital beds per 10,000 inhabitants, while health insurance coverage has reached 95%. The National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction has been effectively implemented, ensuring that people in poverty have access to and benefit from essential social services. Notably, the province has completed its housing program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total of 2,005 houses built.

Following the recent administrative merger, the new Dong Nai province now takes on a broader and more diverse outlook. The union of the two lands, bringing together their unique identities, represents not only an expansion of administrative boundary but, more profoundly, an expansion of cultural stature and historical depth, consolidating potential, and enhancing Dong Nai’s standing and strength for the province to achieve breakthrough in the new era.
