Proposal for completing items to ensure traffic safety for the operation of the Component Project 1A

On September 21, a representative of the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board stated that the unit had submitted a proposal to the Department of Construction to work and urge the My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) to complete the items related to the plan on connectivity and traffic safety assurance during the operation of Component Project 1A, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section, Phase 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Component Project 3 of the Ring Road 3 Project, for which the unit is the investor, has completed the committed items regarding connectivity and traffic safety assurance with Component Project 1A, which is managed by the My Thuan Project Management Board. These include: constructing the main-span structures of the overpasses along the main route, installing height-restriction signs, and building temporary roads at the interchange locations of the overpasses on Provincial Roads 25B, 769, and Ly Tu Trong Street.

However, on the side of the My Thuan Project Management Board, only 2 out of 8 transition slabs (concrete slabs creating a connection between two ends of the culvert), box culverts, cross culverts, and manholes have been completed, affecting the construction progress of Component Project 3. In addition, the paving and asphalt overlay at the connection points to the collector roads is progressing slowly, posing significant safety risks for vehicles using the roads.

Therefore, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has proposed that the Department of Construction continue working and urging the My Thuan Project Management Board to complete these works within September 2025.

The Component Project 1A stretches over 8 kilometers across Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province. This section was officially put into operation on August 20, 2025. Meanwhile, Component Project 3 is scheduled for technical clearance by the end of 2025, with full construction and synchronized operation planned for 2026.
