Digital transformation - an essential requirement for military healthcare
Military-Civilian Hospital 16 is a Level II hospital with a capacity of 150 beds and nearly 200 medical staff members. Over the years, the hospital has persistently pursued a dual goal: improving the quality of medical examinations and treatments while building the image of a modern military-civilian medical facility closely connected with local communities in remote and border areas. In this development journey, digital transformation is regarded as a core pillar, the key to optimizing management, enhancing professional quality, and ensuring data security, transparency, and safety.

The implementation of electronic medical records is not merely a simple replacement for traditional paper-based records but also introduces a new approach to healthcare data management. Medical information is scientifically stored and integrated with systems such as HIS (Hospital Information System), LIS (Laboratory Information System), and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), enabling seamless connectivity with other medical facilities. In particular, the integration of features such as QR codes and Zalo provides patients with easy access to their examination and test results, helping save both time and costs.
Comprehensive investment - Strategic preparation
After inspecting key departments, diagnostic imaging areas, laboratory facilities, and the hospital’s data server systems, Le Quang Trung, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health, highly praised the hospital’s synchronized investment in equipment, operational process, workforce development, and legal basis. He emphasized that these are critical prerequisites for Military-Civilian Hospital 16 to successfully implement electronic medical records and meet the standards set by the Ministry of Health.
