Many communes hold the first VFF congresses for the 2025–2030 term

On the afternoon of September 19, the first Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in Thuan Loi commune and Tan Tien commune for the 2025–2030 term took place.

During the past term, the VFF Committee of Thuan Loi commune successfully promoted its role in uniting the great national solidarity bloc, launching patriotic emulation movements and nationwide campaigns that generated far-reaching resonance. Front Work Committees at residential areas actively propagated and mobilized people to participate in major movements and campaigns, achieving practical results.

The commune VFF Committee coordinated in mobilizing people to contribute and provide matching funds of over VND 1.5 billion for the construction of 13 roads, while also mobilizing more than 1,500 workdays. Residents were mobilized to donate over 2 hectares of land, crops, and works valued at over VND 3.2 billion, to support the building of new-style rural areas. In addition, the commune VFF Committee also coordinated efforts to mobilize people to share and support one another in economic development, with a total capital of more than VND 3 billion

The commune VFF Committee mobilized organizations, individuals, enterprises, and philanthropists to support disaster-hit communities, the poor, near-poor households, disadvantaged people, social protection beneficiaries, and impoverished but studious students, with a total value of more than VND 1.1 billion. Over 1,260 gifts were distributed. The model “Each organization or individual paired with an address of humanitarian beneficiary ” has been maintained to provide regular assistance to people in particularly difficult circumstances.

The congress reached consensus to elect 49 members to the first VFF Committee of Thuan Loi commune for the 2025–2030 tenure, re-elected Vuong Ngoc Toai as Chairman of the commune’s VFF Committee for the new term; and elected 2 delegates to attend the first VFF Congress of  Dong Nai province for the 2025–2030 tenure.

Over the past term, the Standing Committee of the commune VFF Committee upheld a strong sense of responsibility, effectively implementing various movements, strengthening the great national unity bloc, and fostering consensus between the Party and the people. The commune VFF Committee organized 18 supervisory activities, resulting in 24 recommendations and proposals. It also consolidated 25 mediation teams and joined efforts to successfully mediate 27 cases at the grassroots. Furthermore, the commune VFF Committee supported the construction and repair of 57 houses valued at VND 4.5 billion for the beneficiaries. 100% of policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poor households received attention and care, contributing to stabilizing livelihoods and strengthening the people’s trust in the Party and the State

In the spirit of “Solidarity, Democracy, Renewal, and Development”, the congress adopted six action programs, set out 13 specific targets, and elected 51 members to the Tan Tien commune VFF Committee for the 2025–2030 term. At the congress, Le Thanh Sang was elected Chairman of the Tan Tien commune VFF Committee for the 2025–2030 term

Speaking at the congress, Nguyen Van Phoi, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial VFF Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Veterans Association, together with Nguyen Huy Du, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Gia Kiem commune People’s Council commended the results achieved by the Gia Kiem commune VFF Committee during the past term. At the same time, they suggested that, in the new term, the commune VFF Committee needs to continue playing its representative role, uniting and conveying the people’s petitions to Party agencies and government; and to supervise and monitor the resolution of these petitions. The Committee should also continue to mobilize and foster the potential, creativity, and intellect of all social groups, strengthen the close bond between the people, the Party, and the government, creating great strength to contribute to the development of Gia Kiem commune and Dong Nai province into a more prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and happy place.

At the congress, Ha Thi Linh Thuy was re-elected as Chairwoman of the commune’s VFF Committee for the new term.
