This year’s National Day holiday lasted four days, from August 30 to September 2. Thanks to thorough preparation in advance and the routine, continuous efforts of the healthcare sector, hospitals, and medical centers across the province ensured timely emergency response and effective treatment for patients throughout the holiday. Notably, many babies were born on this special day, marking the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Master, doctor Tran Dinh Thuy, Department of Obstetrics, Dong Nai - 2 Hospital, said: From 0 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on September 2, doctors and nurses in the department successfully delivered 16 cases. Among them was a British couple who wished for their child to be born exactly on Vietnamese National Day, as it holds special significance.
At Thong Nhat General Hospital, specialist level I doctor Ngo Thi Thuy from the Department of Obstetrics reported that 15 successful deliveries were performed today. The joy of the mothers’ families seemed to double as the births coincided with the nation’s major holiday. The newborns will have truly special birthdays.
Regarding emergency admissions, reports from several hospitals in the province indicated a slight increase in emergency cases on the final day of the holiday, but no unusual incidents were recorded.
