On September 11, the Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Dong Nai Province (the Steering Committee) convened a meeting to assess the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, as of August 2025. The Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW mentions breakthroughs on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The meeting was chaired by Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, and Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee. Attendees included members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, and heads of relevant departments and agencies.

According to the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Dong Nai Province, as of August 2025, significant progress was made in implementing the targets set out in Action Plan No. 469-KH/TU dated May 16, 2025, issued by the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee in response to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Specifically, 26 out of 43 targets were completed or exceeded expectations, accounting for nearly 60.5% of the total.

Regarding the targets set in Plan No. 487-KH/TU dated June 24, 2025, of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, on the action plan to promote interconnected, synchronized, rapid, and effective digital transformation, meeting the requirements of restructuring the organizational apparatus of the province's political system, 6 out of 8 key targets have been completed, accounting for 75%.

Notable achievements include the installation of information lookup, queue management, and display systems at both provincial- and commune-level public administrative service centers. The province has also upgraded the video conferencing system at the People's Committee and has newly installed such systems at Party Committees of all communes and wards. All 95 communes and wards across Dong Nai have met all 16 infrastructure criteria, ensuring adequate facilities to effectively serve citizens and businesses in the reception and resolution of administrative procedures. Dong Nai Province has also entirely issued internal processes and electronic procedures for handling 2,135 administrative services, achieving a 100% implementation rate.

The province has organized seven seminars on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, engaging experts, leaders, businesses, and educational institutions. Additionally, an online platform has been launched at https://binhdanhocvuso.dongnai.go.vn/ to provide free access to knowledge on science, technology, innovation development, as well as fundamental digital skills and digital technology.
Notably, the province held training conferences on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for more than 29,500 officials, civil servants, and public employees through both in-person and online forms via platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. Local media agencies have also established dedicated segments focused on science, technology, and digital transformation.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee, the Advisory Council of the Steering Committee, and the Working Group of the Steering Committee discussed and contributed their opinions on the achievements to date as well as the key directions and tasks for the Steering Committee in the coming period.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Vo Tan Duc, emphasized that in the coming period, members of the Steering Committee must focus on key priorities related to the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in Dong Nai province.
He stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation and completion of digital transformation targets in administrative procedure resolution; rolling out electronic medical records and a shared data infrastructure; and deploying the “non-geographical-boundary” model in handling administrative procedures. The development of the digital economy must also be a central focus.
At the same time, Duc urged more substantial efforts in expanding digital infrastructure, digital data systems, and innovative city development. He also called for the timely completion of key tasks such as upgrading the intelligent operations center, deploying 5G networks, and addressing obstacles related to the Long Thanh centralized information technology park project.

In addition, the province will continuously focus on developing high-quality human resources, strengthen personnel staff in digital transformation, and formulate policies to attract talent and experts in science, technology, and digital transformation. It will also intensify programs and activities aimed at promoting digital literacy among residents and businesses across the province.
