First congresses after the merger – laying the foundation for acceleration and breakthrough

Dong Nai is in the peak period of holding grassroots-level Party congresses, the first congresses since the merger of agencies, units, and localities. These congresses mark the opening of a new stage of development with long-term vision, great aspirations, and decisive, effective action.

For the Party Committees of the province’s 95 communes and wards, the success of their first congresses is not only a major political event at the localities, but also spreads new confidence and an uplifting spirit to every cadre, Party member, and resident, with the expectation that their homeland will reap many achievements in the 2025-2030 term.

Immediately after the congress, each Party committee quickly began its action program to bring the resolution to daily life, turning strong political will and determination into a “step-by-step with certainty” approach, using concrete “products” as the yardstick for tangible results, and injecting positive energy into every hamlet and neighborhood. Behind each resolution lies the lives of the people, and the ultimate goal of the entire political system is to ensure that all citizens fully enjoy the fruits of renewal.

To make the resolution a true “handbook” of action for each cadre, Party member, and citizen, thereby shortening the path to realizing the strategic goals set, in the process of proactively drafting documents for the grassroots Party congress, localities have mobilized people from all walks of life to offer their constructive ideas. Draft documents were reviewed by provincial appraisal teams who went directly to communes and wards to grasp the real situation, offer specific guidance, and thoroughly ensure the drafts were refined in line with the province’s current major orientations.

A standout feature of this round of commune-level congresses is that the issues on the agenda are all connected to the vision at provincial, regional, and national levels. Examples include the lively discussion atmosphere at the congress of Tran Bien Ward (home to the province’s Political - Administrative Center) and Long Thanh Commune (site of the Long Thanh International Airport). Dedicated Party members enthusiastically offered ideas to accelerate key solutions, bold decisions, and measures to overcome challenges, all aimed at harnessing the combined strength of vast spaces, unique potential, and valuable advantages to give their homeland a modern, sustainable new face. Even in the farthest border outpost of the province, Bu Gia Map Commune, the ideas, tasks, and main goals in the draft documents went beyond purely local matters, carrying the spirit of the times. The Party committee closely aligned with the four strategic resolutions of the Central Government, applying them flexibly to three key breakthroughs: developing human resources and improving people’s living standards; investing in transport infrastructure; and administrative reform combined with digital transformation.

Solidarity, democracy, discipline, innovation, integration, and development - this inspiring message from the grassroots congresses has formed a bloc of unity and consensus in the spirit of “one mind from top to bottom, smooth coordination across the board”, creating fresh momentum. Each commune and ward is joining hands and hearts to reach the “revolution” that Dong Nai is striving at full capacity to achieve - fulfilling the dual goals for 2025: double-digit economic growth and the smooth operation of the two-tier local government apparatus, thereby creating a strong “lever” for the province to rise to its rightful stature.
