On the afternoon of September 5, Lac Hong University organized the Final Round of the Southern Region Chinese Speaking Contest - the 2025 Cup of the Consulate General of China, together with holding a scholarship awarding ceremony for students of Lac Hong University.

According to the organizers, 13 teams from 11 universities in the Southern region participated in this year’s contest.
The Southern Region Chinese Speaking Contest for Universities is an annual competition for students majoring in Chinese Language. The contest offers students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and society, enhance their language skills, and participate in a dynamic platform to showcase their artistic talents. It also serves as a channel for identifying potential members for university cultural teams and promotes solidarity and connection among students in the Chinese Language program.

In this year’s competition, contestant Le Thi Yen Nhi from Lac Hong University won the First Prize. The Second Prizes were awarded to Che Hy Sin from Viet Hoa Quang Chanh Secondary-High School and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Linh from Thu Dau Mot University.

On this occasion, Chinese enterprises and philanthropists awarded 36 scholarships to disadvantaged students of Lac Hong University, with a total value of over 750 million VND.
