Ensuring absolute safety for the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress

As Dong Nai province gears up for its first Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, all areas of work are being prepared with urgency and seriousness. Among the top priority tasks is ensuring security and order, a critical task entrusted primarily to the public security forces. With strong political will, the public security force, as the core force, have coordinated efforts across all levels and sectors to synchronously deploy a wide range of measures, mobilizing public support to safeguard stability and ensure the Congress takes place safely and successfully. This will lay a solid foundation for the province’s continued development in the new era.

The provincial public security force has implemented synchronized efforts to maintain political security and social order and safety. These include proactive monitoring the situation, strict managing key individuals and areas, increasing patrols and inspections, in association with extensive public outreach to encourage community participation in the “All people protect the nation’s security” movement, while decisively preventing all types of crime.

Proactive prevention

As a locality in the border area, Dai Phuoc commune has taken proactive steps to maintain security and order.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, Chief of the Dai Phuoc Commune Police, stated: “Before, during, and after the Provincial Party Congress, the commune public security unit has intensified patrols and surveillance across key areas and routes, promptly addressing any violations to prevent the formation of crime hotspots. The unit has also coordinated closely with local agencies and mass organizations to carry out legal awareness campaigns and mobilize people to participate in the “All people protect the nation’s security” movement. At the same time, the unit has focused on quickly and effectively handling administrative procedures to build public trust and consensus.”

In border communes, the public security force has also prioritized legal propaganda, especially targeting students. On September 3 and 4, Loc Thanh Commune Public Security, in collaboration with the boards of management of three local schools, including Loc Thanh Primary and Secondary School, Loc Thien Primary and Secondary School, and Loc Thinh Primary and Secondary School, organized legal dissemination sessions on traffic order and safety for over 2,000 students and teachers.

During the awareness sessions, the public security provided updates on local traffic conditions, introduced relevant legal regulations, and provided practical safety skills, including fire prevention and responsible use of social media. Through real-life scenarios, the students practiced problem-solving skills, gained knowledge to voluntarily comply with the law and developed a civilized, safe lifestyle. These activities not only equipped the students with practical knowledge and skills for the new school year but also contributed to broader goals of ensuring security and order, traffic safety, and creating a safe and healthy educational environment, all supporting the overall success of the upcoming Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress.

Preventing crimes early and from afar

In addition to their crime prevention efforts, functional forces in Dong Nai have recently intensified criminal crackdown operations, yielding positive results in the lead-up to the first Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. A notable case was recorded on September 4, when the Dong Nai Provincial Public Security, in coordination with Lam Dong Provincial Public Security and Thong Nhat Commune Public Security, arrested suspects Le Hong Lam (aged 40) and Nguyen Ngoc Trung (aged 42), both residents of Lam Dong province. The task force apprehended Lam along with six packets of drugs at a rented house in Phu Cuong hamlet, Thong Nhat commune. He confessed to purchasing the drugs for 60 million VND with the intent to resell them for profit. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Trung and the seizure of an additional four packets of narcotics.

In addition, the authorities have implemented professional measures, including summoning and warning individuals with criminal records, prior convictions, or signs of complex or illicit activities. These efforts help authorities monitor developments in attitudes and proactively prevent illegal activities early and from afar, creating a strong deterrent effect, compelling suspects to comply with the law, contributing to the maintenance of stability in the area.

In parallel with general security tasks, ensuring security and order in remote, mountainous, and religiously diverse areas is also attached much significance to. Pham Hong Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thong Nhat Commune, shared: “To help safeguard the Provincial Party Congress, the Party Committee, local authorities, the Fatherland Front, and public security have strengthened close coordination with religious organizations. The communal authority regularly meets with key officials in religious localities, visits and offers religious dignitaries presents during major religious festivals, and promotes their role in encouraging parishioners to lead a good life and practice a good faith”. The commune has also rolled out the Peaceful Parish model and advanced patriotic emulation movements.” Such efforts have reinforced great national unity bloc, fostered social consensus, and maintained political and social stability in the area.

The Dong Nai Provincial public security are currently formulating plans and implementing coordinated measures to ensure security and order, remaining ready to respond to any unexpected situations.
