On the morning of September 2, in harmony with the nationwide spirit turning towards the historic Ba Dinh Square, residents across Dong Nai commenced their day early to observe the ceremony, military parade, and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
* From early morning on September 2, residents of Dong Nai and neighboring areas began arriving at the Provincial Square Park in Tan Trieu Ward to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony and grand parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The event was attended by Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

After completing her morning exercise at the park, 75-year-old Chu Thi Hon from Tran Bien Ward joined friends of her generation to watch the live broadcast of the commemorative ceremony. A sense of excitement and national pride was universally felt among the attendees. Born in Dong Anh district in Ha Noi, yet Hon has chosen Dong Nai as her home for years.
“Over the past few days, my family, friends, and I have been closely following all updates related to the Independence Day holiday. I am extremely proud of our country’s remarkable progress. Our nation has achieved significant development; the people enjoy prosperity and happiness, and no matter what they do or where they are, everyone trusts and unites under the Party’s leadership, guiding the country into a new era of growth” Hon shared.
A group of war veterans from Di An ward, Ho Cho Minh City, visited the Provincial Museum (within the Provincial Square Park) following the live broadcast of the commemorative ceremony to view an exhibition on national and provincial achievements, reconnecting with memories of their revolutionary past.

Bui Van Muon recounted that during the resistance war, he and his comrades served in the tank and artillery divisions. The artifacts exhibited at the Dong Nai Provincial Museum evoke memories of the deep camaraderie and solidarity they shared back then. He expressed his personal commitment to preserving this legacy by helping instill a sense of patriotism in younger generations.
“Having enjoyed our country’s independence and seen its growth over the last 80 years, we understand the true meaning of peace. The beauty of our nation and its peace came at the cost of sacrifices from so many generations. Seeing the ceremony on TV and witnessing our country’s development, we feel reassured that today’s generation is a worthy successor to the legacy of our ancestors,” an emotional Muon stated.
Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai Province, announced that the province is setting up three viewing locations with large screens to broadcast live the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. After the ceremony, local residents are invited to attend cultural performances, and a fireworks show will take place that evening.
The Sea Star Club, a group of 21 members from Binh Minh Commune who are also workers at the Bau Xe and Song May industrial parks, spent their entire holiday to visit the Provincial Square park and explore the exhibits at the Provincial Museum, documenting beautiful moments of National Day.
“We are so proud of Vietnam! Today’s national achievements and our province’s development serve as clear evidence that we have lived up to the sacrifices made by our forefathers. We have complete trust in the Party’s leadership to unite all our people and accomplish the nation’s new development objectives,” said Nguyen Thi Thuy, the leader of the Sea Star Club.

* In Binh Phuoc Ward, a 300-inch screen was set up at the Provincial Cultural and Cinema Center to allow residents and those from neighboring areas to watch the live coverage of the ceremony and grand parade.
Hundreds of people were reportedly present from early morning to watch the live broadcast from Ba Dinh Square.

“I got up very early to come here and get the best view of the celebration and the grand parade,” said Nguyen Thi Hue, a resident of Thuan Loi Commune nearly 20km away, who arrived well before the ceremony began to watch the entire event. “I’m so proud to be a citizen of Vietnam, a country that has fought so bravely for its independence and freedom.”
Huynh Thi Hoai Thuong, a student from Nguyen Du High School, was also there with about 40 of her friends. Emotionally, Hoai Thuong said, “As the young generation, we are incredibly proud of Vietnam’s history, a history forged by the sacrifices of our ancestors so that we could live in peace and freedom today. We pledge to study diligently so that we can contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful country.”

Televisions across the region were switched on right on time as families gathered to watch the full ceremony, parade, and procession together.
In the Phu Thanh neighborhood of Binh Phuoc Ward, veteran Bui Van Ngoc watched the event from his television, surrounded by more than 10 friends and family members. He shared: “We’ve been anticipating this ceremony for days. I turned on the TV at 6 a.m. and invited my friends over. Witnessing this magnificent event fills us with deep emotion and pride in the capabilities and equipment of the Vietnam People’s Army, which plays a vital role in safeguarding our nation under any circumstances. This peace and independence – priceless achievements – were earned through the blood and sacrifice of previous generations!”
All across the province, millions of hearts beat as one during the day of grand celebration. All eyes turned towards Ba Dinh Square, honoring the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh and the immortal words of the Declaration of Independence. In every gaze, there was unwavering faith in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, united in leading the country into a new era.
