On the morning of September 5, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of Dong Nai National Assembly Delegation Vu Hong Van attended the opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year together with the teachers and students of Dong Nai University.

Also in attendance were Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training (DoET) Truong Thi Kim Hue, leaders of provincial departments and agencies; leaders of Tam Hiep ward; along with all staff, lecturers, and employees of the university, and 400 students representing more than 5,000 students enrolled at Dong Nai University.

At the event, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of Dong Nai National Assembly Delegation Vu Hong Van presented a congratulatory flower basket to the university, marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training-MoET) and celebrating the start of the new academic year.
On this occasion, the Dong Nai Study Promotion Fund awarded 100 scholarships totaling VND 100 million to disadvantaged students who have excelled academically. Of these, 30 scholarships were presented at the opening ceremony. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vu Hong Van and Director of DoET Truong Thi Kim Hue directly awarded these scholarships to 30 students.

The 2025-2026 academic year begins as Vietnam’s education sector accelerates comprehensive reforms, embracing digital transformation and sustainable development. The opening ceremony today coincides with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the MoET), a historic milestone reminding the nation of its tradition of learning, the noble mission of teachers, and the responsibility of today’s young generation for the future of the country.

The opening ceremony of Dong Nai University was held in a solemn and concise manner. Immediately afterward, all staffs, teachers and students joined the online national opening ceremony organized by the MoET.
