Dong Nai Deputy Party Secretary Thai Bao attends opening ceremony for new school year at Dau Giay High School

On the morning of September 5, along with more than 1.2 million students across the province, teachers and students of Dau Giay High School in Dau Giay commune solemnly held the opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Attending the ceremony were Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Party Agencies; Cao Tien Sy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary and Chairman of Dau Giay Commune People’s Council, along with leaders of various provincial agencies and units.

Principal Le Thanh Hung of Dau Giay High School said the school was separated from the former Cao Su High School in August 1996 under a decision by the former Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee. The campus is located in Lap Thanh hamlet, Dau Giay commune. In 2023, the school was recognized by the Provincial People’s Committee as meeting National Standard Level 2.

The school currently has 90 staff, teachers, and employees. The school Party cell has 51 members, accounting for more than 50% of its total staff. The school’s Party cell successfully fulfilled its tasks in 2024.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the school recorded a high proportion of students with good and excellent performance. Accordingly, Grade 12 students won 36 awards in academic competitions at different levels (including 1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 11 third prizes, and 19 consolation prizes). The school also won a second prize and a third prize in the 2025 Thong Nhat District Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest; four teachers were recognized as Excellent Homeroom Teachers at school level; and 100% of its staff were nominated for the title of Advanced Laborer.

With these achievements, Dau Giay High School was awarded the Government’s Emulation Flag in March 2025.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, the school has more than 1,600 students. Facilities are relatively adequate, with 38 permanent classrooms, three laboratories (for Chemistry, Biology–Technology, and Physics), and two computer labs. The school also has a separate physical education area with football, volleyball, and badminton courts.

On behalf of the school’s teaching council, Principal Le Thanh Hung expressed determination that in the new school year, the school would continue to study, improve qualifications, innovate teaching methods, apply scientific advances in teaching, and especially fulfill the mission of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence in teaching, management, and school administration.

After the opening ceremony, Provincial leaders together with all officials, teachers, and students attended the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025), now the MoET, held in conjunction with the nationwide opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 academic year. The event was broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television.
