Photo: Pham Tung According to the plan, the inter-port road will span over 15 kilometers, starting from the boundary road of Ong Keo Industrial Park and ending at the access road to Viet Thuan Thanh Port. A representative of the Project Management Board of Region No. 06 stated that in Phase 1, the project will construct a section more than 8.8 kilometers long, divided into two parts: Section 1 will be 6.9 kilometers with eight lanes, and Section 2 will be 1.9 kilometers with four lanes. In addition to the main roadway, the project will also include the construction of five bridges along the route. Phase 1 of the inter-port road construction project has a total investment of more than 2.6 trillion VND and will be implemented in Dai Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province.
According to the signed contract, the project has a construction timeline of 36 months. However, the contractor consortium aims to shorten this to 30 months, with completion and operation expected by the end of March 2028. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that once completed, Phase 1 of the inter-port road project will serve as a key link in the road transport network connecting seaports, facilitating investment and the operation of port infrastructure in Dai Phuoc Commune. The project will also contribute to shaping a modern, vibrant riverside urban system rich in identity, aligned with the goals of green and smart development.
This road project is also expected to leverage development opportunities from Long Thanh International Airport, which is slated to begin operations in the near future. It will help accelerate the formation of a seaport–logistics–industrial park–riverside urban chain, contributing to Dong Nai’s economic breakthrough and reaffirming its position within the Southern Key Economic Region. To ensure the project is completed on schedule and meets quality standards, Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Vo Tan Duc requested the Project Management Board for Zone 6 to direct contractors to mobilize maximum human resources and equipment, and to organize construction in a manner that ensures safety, efficiency, and quality. At the same time, he emphasized the need to promote digital transformation in project management, supervision, and acceptance procedures.
The Provincial Land Fund Development Center has instructed the Nhon Trach branch and the People's Committee of Dai Phuoc Commune to focus on effectively carrying out compensation, resettlement support, and site clearance. Relevant departments and sectors are required to coordinate closely to address difficulties related to construction materials promptly. Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Vo Tan Duc also expressed his appreciation to locals for relinquishing land for the project. He also called on them to continue supporting, cooperating, and creating favorable conditions for its timely completion. By Pham Tung - Translated by Thu Cuc, Minho |
