Dong Nai approves investment policy for International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh Airport

Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, has signed a decision approving the investment policy for the International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh International Airport.

According to Decision No. 1353/QD-UBND dated September 19, 2025, issued by the Provincial People's Committee approving the investment policy, the International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh Airport will have a total investment of approximately VND 161 billion from the provincial budget. The Provincial People's Committee has designated the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the project owner. The project owner is also responsible for coordinating with the Department of Health, the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC), and relevant agencies to develop the project.

The International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh Airport will be developed on lot CQ10.B, covering an area of more than 4,500 square meters as approved in the airport’s master plan. The project will include: an isolation building (3 floors), an administrative block (5 above-ground floors and 1 basement), and supporting facilities such as an oxygen station, generator station, technical building with wastewater treatment, security guardhouse, and other technical infrastructure, along with investment in equipment to serve quarantine operations as regulated.

The International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project at Long Thanh Airport is being implemented with the goal of building a facility capable of preventing and promptly responding to the spread of infectious diseases, as well as effectively handling public health emergencies transmitted through Vietnam’s border gates. It will conduct medical interventions, control disease vectors and intermediate hosts, manage infectious disease-carrying objects, and address other risk factors to protect community health.
