Dong Nai: 22 students awarded Secure Future scholarships

According to the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam National Union of Students (VNUS) Central Committee has issued a decision to award the Secure Future scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year to 22 students in Dong Nai province.

Among the recipients, 5 individuals received Type A scholarships worth 20 million VND each, while 17 individuals were awarded Type B scholarships valued at 5 million VND each.

Type A scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who have either shown exceptional academic achievements or especially disadvantaged backgrounds. For those studying at institutions focused on the arts or professional sports, recipients must maintain good academic standing and have earned national or international awards, titles in their own fields, contributing to local or national sports, culture and arts development.

Type B scholarships are presented to students who demonstrate good academic performance and character development, especially those in difficult financial situations. Eligible students may hold titles such as Five-Good Student, Three-Good Student, or Three-Practice Student at the provincial and municipal levels or above. They are also recognized for achievements in learning, scientific research, or in sports, culture, and arts competitions at the provincial level or above. Contribution to Youth Union and Students’ Union movements are also taken into consideration.

On behalf of the Vietnam National Union of Students Central Committee, the Dong Nai Students Association presented certificates for Type A scholarships to two individuals and Type B certificates to four recipients. For those who have not yet received their certificates in person, the Provincial Student Association will deliver them to the respective units and localities where the students live and study, in order to present them. Scholarship funds have already been transferred by the Organizing Committee to the personal bank accounts of the recipients or their families.
