On September 26, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Bien Hoa Ward held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the congress were Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Bien Hoa Ward, Vien Hong Tien; Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, Nguyen Van Phoi; along with 132 delegates representing various social strata in the ward.

Bien Hoa Ward has 17 neighborhoods with nearly 75,000 residents. Religious followers account for 38% of the population.

During the past term, the VFF of the ward and its member organizations effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements. These included mobilizing residents to support urban renovation projects, maintaining urban environmental hygiene, and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc to contribute to achieving socio-economic development goals and targets of the locality.

The ward’s VFF Committee took the lead and coordinated efforts to hold 29 thematic supervisions in various fields. It mobilized residents to contribute VND 15 billion for urban renovation. The ward maintained 12 social welfare, environmental sanitation, and legal knowledge models to connect and support the people.

At the congress, delegates contributed opinions to the congress documents with the goal of ensuring that the ward’s VFF tasks in the new term closely follow the Resolution of the first Party Congress of Bien Hoa Ward for the 2025-2030 term. Four key tasks were identified for the ward’s VFF in the new term: promoting democracy and contributing to building the Party and government; improving the quality of supervision and social criticism; focusing on building self-managed, united, prosperous, and happy residential areas; and consolidating and strengthening the VFF working committees, associations, and youth branches in neighborhoods.

The congress elected 53 members to the VFF Committee of Bien Hoa Ward for the 2025-2030 term (with two vacancies) and elected two delegates to attend the first VFF Congress of Dong Nai Province for the 2025-2030 term.

At the first meeting of the VFF Committee of Bien Hoa Ward for the 2025-2030 term, the congress elected the Standing Committee, the Chairperson, and Vice Chairpersons. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong was re-elected as Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of Bien Hoa Ward for the new term.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, Nguyen Van Phoi, suggested that in the coming time, the VFF of Bien Hoa Ward focus on strongly innovating propaganda, mobilization, and uniting the people to create a high social consensus in implementing the ward’s socio-economic development tasks. Social welfare work, including caring for the poor, policy support for beneficiary families, and assistance to vulnerable groups, should continue to be considered a consistent priority throughout the entire term.
