Bao Vinh: Applying digital technology to foster connection and strengthen community solidarity

On September 27, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Bao Vinh ward for the 2025-2030 term was held, with the attendance of Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee, and Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, along with 123 out of 125 official delegates.

During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Bao Vinh ward implemented coordinated measures with diverse forms and rich content in communication and mobilization for people, contributing to raising political awareness and strengthening public trust in the Party, the State, and the VFF. Many emulation movements were launched and implemented by the Ward Fatherland Front, delivering practical results. A highlight among them was the emulation movement "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas".

Along with that, the Ward Fatherland Front effectively carried out the emulation movement "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind," and organized various activities to support the poor, children, and ethnic minority communities. From 2024 to date, the Ward Fatherland Front and its member organizations have presented more than 3,100 gift packages on holidays and festivals; donated 70 health insurance cards, 81 scholarships, and 10 bicycles to disadvantaged students, with a total value of nearly 150 million VND; offered more than 2,400 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children; and supported the construction and repair of six solidarity houses.

The congress approved 11 key targets and six action programs of the ward’s VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The congress elected 55 members to the Bao Vinh Ward VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term. At its first session, the committee held consultations to elect the Standing Committee, as well as the chairperson and vice chairpersons of the ward-level VFF Committee. Phan Nguyen Doan Hanh was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Bao Vinh Ward VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The congress also elected one delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee, and Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, commended the outstanding achievements of the ward’s VFF Committee in recent years. He emphasized that moving forward, the ward’s VFF Committee should continue to innovate communication efforts through diverse forms, particularly by applying digital technology to spread, create solidarity and consensus among the people. There is a need to launch emulation movements that must be substantial and effective. The essential emphasis was placed on strengthening social supervision and social criticism, contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong Party and government.
