Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Tran Trong Toan said that, up to now, the department had advised the provincial People's Committee to license eight land-fill material mines, with a total volume of over 4.5 million m³. In addition, once legal procedures are completed, about 1 million m³ of fill materials could be recovered from existing quarries. This volume is sufficient to supply two key projects: the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City passing through Dong Nai.

The Long Thanh International Airport project has a demand of about 4.9 million m³, and has so far signed contracts with quarries for 75%, with around 60% already delivered.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, 23 out of 33 quarries in the province are eligible to increase output under a special mechanism that allows production to rise by 50 percent above licensed capacity. The additional supply will serve key projects, including Long Thanh International Airport, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, and Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding construction stone, the Department of Agriculture was requested to continue reviewing and encouraging qualified and capable enterprises to increase quarrying capacity under the special mechanism, ensuring sufficient supply for key projects. At the same time, the Department requests management boards and investors to issue documents requesting contractors to contact neighboring localities to seek additional stone sources proactively.
As for detailed legal procedures, quarry owners were urged to directly contact the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committees of wards and communes for support in resolving issues.
