On August 11, Member of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, visited five border guard stations including Dac O (Dak O commune), Bu Gia Map, Dac Bo, Dac No, and Dac Ka (Bu Gia Map commune).

The aforementioned border guard stations manage a border line approximately 60 kilometers long. Among these, Dac O Border Guard Station oversees the longest border section at nearly 16 kilometers. These stations are all located in remote and isolated communes, strategically important border areas for national defense and security, with significant populations of ethnic minorities facing numerous livelihood challenges.
In recent times, the border guard stations have effectively carried out their missions of managing and protecting the border between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia, safeguarding territorial sovereignty and integrity, maintaining security and order in border areas, and combating violations of border sovereignty and security. They have strictly controlled to prevent foreigners from illegally crossing into Vietnam and Vietnamese citizens from exiting the country unlawfully. The stations have excelled in combating border crimes, particularly anti-smuggling operations with special focus on drug-related crimes, thereby ensuring border security.
The border guard stations have also actively participated in forest fire prevention and control, fire and explosion prevention and control, and forest resource protection. Additionally, these stations have effectively conducted mass mobilization work, assisting local residents in various activities while contributing to local socio-economic development.

Member of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged the significant contributions as well as the difficulties faced by the border guard stations. She expressed hope that the stations would promptly address these challenges to better fulfill their assigned duties, particularly in protecting and maintaining border security. She further encouraged continued collaboration with local authorities in community engagement, maintaining public order and security, and strengthening military-civilian solidarity in safeguarding territorial integrity and border security, as well as in promoting socioeconomic development in border areas.
