At the working session, representatives of the Dong Nai provincial Veterans’ Association reported the working delegation on the restructuring of organizational systems following the recent administrative merger, the implementation of the two-tier local government model, and the preparations for the upcoming 2025–2030 congress.
According to the report, Dong Nai province currently has over 58,000 veteran members organized into 95 associations across communes and wards, along with six affiliated units under Bloc 487. In recent years, the VVA’s system across the province has rapidly completed its organizational structure, effectively maintained patriotic emulation movements, strengthened political and ideological work, and carried out social welfare activities.
Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong emphasized the need for the Dong Nai Veterans’ Association and Long Khanh ward to focus on personnel preparation for the upcoming congress. He underscored that selected candidates must meet the standards of integrity, credibility, and competence, and that the selection process must strictly follow established procedures.
He further stressed that in the coming period, the Party and State will lead the implementation of strategic resolutions on energy development, international integration, legal reform, and the private economy. This performance, he noted, will serve as a foundation for Vietnam to rise and stand shoulder to shoulder with global powers. Against this backdrop, he called on each veteran, with their pioneering spirit, to continue upholding the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” working alongside authorities and citizens to build resilient local communities and contribute to the nation’s new phase of development.
