(ĐN) – On August 4, a representative of the Department of Construction (DoC) announced the completion of two newly designated left-turn lanes at the Vung Tau intersection, located beneath the overpass, for vehicles traveling from Tran Bien ward toward National Highway 1 in Long Hung ward.
Accordingly, vehicles coming from Le Van Duyet Street (Tran Bien ward) and turning left onto National Highway 1 (Long Hung ward) now have two dedicated left-turn lanes, instead of sharing lanes with the through-traffic heading to National Highway 51 as before. At the same time, the median opening at the junction of Le Van Duyet Street, Street No. 1 (Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park), and Mac Dinh Chi Street (within Tran Bien ward) has also been widened.

This measure is one of the revised traffic solutions implemented at the Vung Tau intersection and has proven effective in easing congestion.
Earlier, on June 21, the DoC in coordination with relevant agencies launched phase one of the traffic adjustment plan for the Vung Tau intersection. Specifically, a median barrier was installed at the junction of Le Van Duyet Street, Street No. 1, and Mac Dinh Chi Street, alongside traffic flow reorganization in the area.

According to the DoC, the revised traffic plan has helped reduce congestion and prevent illegal parking, thereby enhancing traffic safety. This is considered an initial step that brings greater convenience for commuters passing through one of Dong Nai’s key traffic gateways.
