Well-known attractions in the province, including Cat Tien National Park (Nam Cat Tien Commune), Bu Gia Map National Park (Bu Gia Map Commune), Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve (Tri An Commune), Suoi Mo Park (Tan Phu Commune), Son Tien Tourist Area (Long Hung Ward), and Buu Long Tourist Area (Tran Bien Ward), have prepared their special programs for the occasion.
Diversified tourism products and services
To meet the needs of tourists during the final holiday break of the 2025 summer travel season, several destinations in the province have introduced a variety of sightseeing and experiential tours to attract visitors.
Bu Gia Map National Park is one of the most popular destinations, offering unique activities for nature exploration and outdoor experiences.
Do Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Communication, Tourism, and Conservation Rescue Center at Bu Gia Map National Park, said: For the September 2 holiday, the park will offer a range of nature exploration tours. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the cultural and culinary traditions of local ethnic communities. At the same time, they can discover unique relics, landmarks, and heritage trees such as the memorial stele marking the end point of the wartime fuel pipeline; trek along routes leading into the park’s core zone to explore distinctive forest habitats, heritage tree clusters, and striking waterfalls; and enjoy camping with survival activities such as pitching tents, fishing, and cooking bamboo rice by the beautiful streams and falls.
With the capacity to attract thousands of visitors per day during peak travel periods, Buu Long Tourist Area is also fully prepared for the September 2 holiday.
Nguyen Danh Thinh, Acting Director of Buu Long Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (which manages Buu Long Tourist Area in Tran Bien Ward), said: For the September 2 holiday, Buu Long will launch several programs for visitors, including a Folk Food Festival from August 31 to September 2 with more than 20 stalls and 100 dishes such as traditional cakes, grilled specialties, noodle dishes, and hotpots, priced from just 7,000 VND. On the opening day, chefs from the Dong Nai Chefs Association will offer 400 free servings of pomelo sweet soup to visitors and present vegetable and fruit carving performances by more than 50 professional chefs and artisans. In the following days, the rural market space will host events such as preparing an 8-meter cashew sausage, a giant porridge pot, and a spring roll display arranged in the shape of Vietnam’s map. These dishes will then be served free to visitors.
In addition to the culinary program, Buu Long Tourist Area will provide acoustic music and don ca tai tu (Southern folk music) performances for visitors. Notably, on September 2, Buu Long will livestream the National Day military parade on a large LED screen, providing free public viewing for all guests at the site.
According to Thinh, ticket prices at Buu Long Tourist Area will remain unchanged during the September 2 holiday (a package including admission and access to 40 games and attractions is priced at 150,000 VND for adults and 60,000 VND for children). In addition, hotel rooms will be offered at discounted rates for guests staying overnight during the holiday.
Dong Nai currently has 49 active travel and tourism companies, including 16 international travel agencies and 6 representative offices. The province also has 224 accommodation facilities with a total of more than 5,200 rooms.
Sightseeing tours in high demand
According to assessments from several travel companies, this year’s September 2 holiday has seen strong demand for both domestic and international tours. Among them, tours to northern provinces are particularly popular during the national celebration.
A representative of Saigontourist Travel Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City) said: For the September 2 holiday, Saigontourist Travel is cooperating with Vietnam Airlines to launch northern routes. The highlight is a special domestic itinerary themed Journey of Vietnamese Pride. Designed as journeys where hearts beat in unison with the nation and touch historic moments of pride, these tours will take visitors not only to the historic Ba Dinh Square for commemorative activities but also combine programs exploring Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long, and Sa Pa.
Currently, tours to Hanoi and nearby areas are selling well, especially during the 80th National Day celebrations, with the military parade and procession expected to draw strong interest from visitors. Among them, Hanoi–Sa Pa combination tours are the most popular choices thanks to the cool climate, beautiful landscapes, and unique cultural experiences.
Sharing about preparations to welcome visitors during the national grand holiday, Nguyen Thai Tuong Van, Director of Thai Loan Travel Services Co., Ltd. (Tran Bien Ward), said: For the September 2 holiday, Thai Loan Travel is offering domestic tours to popular destinations such as Da Lat and Nha Trang, while also partnering with international travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City to organize overseas tours to Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. On this occasion, Thai Loan Travel has also collaborated with Son Tien Tourist Area to provide discounted entrance tickets (from 490,000 VND down to 405,000 VND) for customers purchasing through Thai Loan.
To ensure safe tourism activities during the National Day holiday break on September 2, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has stepped up on-site inspections and issued written reminders to accommodation facilities and travel enterprises across the province, urging them to thoroughly review preparations and strictly comply with regulations to guarantee security and safety for visitors throughout their tours and experiences.
