Timely provision of human resources to ensure effective operation of Long Thanh Airport

On August 23, at 3A Park, An Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai Province, organized the Long Thanh International Airport Job Fair. The event aims to prepare workforce to support the operation of Long Thanh International Airport.

Attending the opening ceremony were Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee; Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Secretary of the Long Thanh Party Committee, along with leaders from various departments and agencies.

Human resources are one of the key factors in positioning Long Thanh International Airport as one of the region’s major international transit hubs, meeting the standards of a green airport and a smart airport. Attracting young, dynamic, passionate, and highly skilled professionals who can grasp and master cutting-edge global technologies will play a crucial role in ensuring the airport’s efficient operations.

The Long Thanh International Airport Job Fair attracted approximately 9,500 online applications and more than 2,000 students from high schools, colleges, and universities in Dong Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City. A total of seven companies participated in recruitment at the event, including: Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietjet Air), Vietnam Airport Ground Services Co., Ltd. (VIAGS), Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company (SAGS), Vietnam Airlines Catering Services Co., Ltd. (VACS), Vietnam Aviation Catering Services Joint Stock Company (VINACS), Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO), and the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA). The job opportunities offered were diverse, with qualification requirements ranging from high school level and above.

According to Vice Chairman Le Truong Son of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, Dong Nai Province ranks 9th in size, 5th in population, and 4th in economic scale nationwide. The province aims to achieve sustained double-digit growth in the coming years. The operation of Long Thanh International Airport will serve as one of the key foundations contributing to this development. Currently, the province is investing heavily and accelerating the development of transportation routes to improve connectivity to the airport. At the same time, Dong Nai is rapidly implementing major projects, including the Long Thanh Airport Urban Area and a free-trade commercial zone surrounding the airport. As a result, the demand for human resources across various sectors is expected to be very high.

Vice Chairman Le Truong Son of the Dong Nai People’s Committee affirmed that, in recent times, Dong Nai Province and its affiliated localities and units have closely coordinated with ACV. In the coming period, the province will conduct monthly reviews of project progress and intensify communication efforts to inform the public about labor demands for Long Thanh International Airport. This will enable timely updates on training programs and ensure the supply of a well-prepared workforce, supporting the effective operation of the Long Thanh International Airport.
