On August 9, thousands of workers across Dong Nai Province enjoyed a warm and cheerful “Trade Union Meal” organized by grassroots Trade Unions in cooperation with local enterprises.

At Saitex International Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Amata Industrial Park, Long Binh Ward), more than 3,300 workers joined the event in a lively and friendly atmosphere. Attendees included Luu Thi Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province; Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman in charge of the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour; and representatives from various departments and agencies, who shared in the joys with workers.
The meal, valued at over VND 70,000 per serving, was co-funded by the grassroots Trade Union (VND 50,000) and the company (over VND 20,000). Workers could choose from main dishes, soups, and vegetarian options.
The main course menu included garlic-fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork ribs, vegetable salad with vinaigrette, vegetable and meat soup, along with yogurt and soft drinks.

On the same day, Ching Fa Fishing Tackle Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (Nhon Trach Commune) also organized a “Trade Union Meal” for nearly 1,500 employees, valued at VND 50,000 per serving. The meal featured nutritious dishes such as fried chicken wings, braised shrimp, winter melon soup with minced pork, and stir-fried morning glory. Workers were also given dessert, including a cup of yogurt and a packet of fresh milk.

Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman in charge of the Dong Nai provincial Confederation of Labour, said that this year, the Standing Committee of the Confederation has directed and guided affiliated grassroots Trade Unions to coordinate with business owners in organizing the “Trade Union Meal” for union members and employees. The program aims to provide practical benefits, better welfare, and, in particular, improve the quality of workplace meals. It also seeks to support the material and spiritual well-being of workers, while strengthening ties between employees, the Trade Union, and employers.
