Thien Hung aims to become a socio-economic hub of Dong Nai’s northern border communes by 2030

On the morning of August 8, the Party Committee of Thien Hung Commune convened its first official congress for the 2025–2030 tenure, gathering 247 delegates representing 915 Party members across the commune.

Thien Hung Commune was established following the merger of the former communes of Thien Hung, Thanh Hoa, and Thanh Binh Townlet in the former Bu Dop District. Over the past five years of implementing the previous congress resolution, the commune has achieved and exceeded all 16 specific targets across socio-economic development, defense–security maintenance, Party building, and political system consolidation.

With the motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development,” the Thien Hung Party Committee has clearly identified opportunities and challenges, setting 15 specific targets alongside 6 key tasks, 3 breakthrough areas, and a set of major solutions. The commune’s Party Committee aims to become an economic, political, cultural, and social hub of the northern border communes in Dong Nai by 2030, while ensuring national defense, security, and the protection of national sovereignty.

The congress also agreed on important indicators, including having 90% of grassroots Party organizations and members rated as fulfilling duties well or better each year; developing at least one exemplary and effective “Good Mass Mobilization” model annually; maintaining an average annual growth rate of state budget revenue of at least 12%; and aiming for an average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of at least 11% annually.

Giving his directive remarks at the congress, Major General Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police emphasized that Thien Hung possesses all the conditions to rise and develop strongly, becoming a new growth driver for the border communes with abundant development potential. Moreover, it holds a strategically important position in terms of defense and security, which also creates favorable conditions for the commune to become a model green, distinctive, sustainable, and safe border locality.

The Major General urged the Party Committee’s Executive Board of the commune and every official and Party member to share responsibility and strengthen unity and consensus, ensuring “One mind top to bottom”, “Smooth coordination across the board” within the political system. Safeguarding sovereignty and maintaining border security, he stressed, must be clearly defined as a regular and vital political task. He also asked for improving people’s livelihoods, fostering close ties between the government and the people, and leveraging the people’s support and cooperation in defending sovereignty and border security.

Furthermore, he called for the effective implementation of breakthrough programs such as restructuring crops and livestock toward ecological agriculture with high-tech applications, as well as preserving ethnic cultural identities in connection with eco-tourism development, aiming to successfully fulfilling the political tasks set out in the 2025–2030 resolution of the Thien Hung Party Congress.
