On the afternoon of August 18, Ho Van Ha, Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, held a working session with relevant departments, agencies, and the Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee regarding the progress of the over-49-hectare resettlement area project in the locality.

However, current challenges include a shortage of personnel at the ward level to carry out compensation and site clearance tasks; the absence of clear coordination regulations among relevant agencies and units; the Ward's Specific Land Price Appraisal Council has been established but lacks members with professional certification; and certain crop types still lack a compensation price framework.
The Provincial Land Fund Development Center proposed that the Provincial People's Committee promptly reinforce local staffing. At the same time, it should issue coordination regulations for the implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement activities, and finalize the relevant policy frameworks.
Thieu Thi Minh Huong, Chairwoman of the Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee, requested provincial support in providing personnel, especially officials with price appraisal certificates. In the coming period, the ward will jointly select a consulting unit and coordinate to finalize compensation price frameworks for submission to the council for review and approval.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that this project has a total investment of more than 1.1 trillion VND, with over 1,000 resettlement lots for residents. However, the slow progress in compensation and site clearance has affected the disbursement of public investment capital.
The provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to assign one deputy director to oversee the project directly and to deploy four additional staff members to Phuoc Tan Ward. The Department of Agriculture and Environment must urgently issue compensation rates for crops. The Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee is tasked with developing a detailed implementation schedule and organizing efforts to mobilize residents for land handover. Relevant agencies must, within this August, conduct training courses for price appraisal certification for local officials, particularly in areas with ongoing public investment projects.
