(DN) – On August 22 and 23, Regiment 719 (Army Corps 16) held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over financial support for the construction of 10 comrade houses and Trade Union shelters in 2025. The beneficiaries include officers, staff, and workers facing housing difficulties. This is part of the activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), as well as the successful 6th Congress of the Party Organization of the Army Corps 16 for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, a total of VND 640 million was handed over by representatives of the the Army Corps 16 and Regiment 719 to officers, staff, and workers struggling with housing difficulties. Each comrade house received support of VND 60 million from the Ministry of National Defense, while each Trade Union shelter was funded with VND 80 million. In addition, the Regiment 719 mobilized its officers, soldiers, and staff to contribute workdays and building materials, ensuring that the houses were completed on schedule and met quality standards.

The housing support program not only provides practical material benefits, helping officers and workers stabilize their lives, but also reflects the tradition of “mutual love and affection”. It is also a meaningful activity in response to the nationwide emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in 2025.

Deeply moved upon receiving his new home, union member Tran Dinh Vinh (Production Team 5, the Regiment 719) expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the Army Corps 16, the Regiment 719 and the union organizations for their concern and support. He shared that this was a great source of encouragement for him to continue striving and dedicating himself to the unit.
