Ready Vietnamese goods for peak shopping season during the Vietnamese National Day

Consumer demand for shopping, leisure, and entertainment during this year’s National Day holiday (September 2) is expected to rise sharply. In response, many supermarkets and shopping centers across Dong Nai province have planned large-scale consumption stimulus programs to attract visitors. Notably, several of these promotions focus on Vietnamese goods and local specialties.

Many consumption stimulus programs for Vietnamese goods

Trang Phuc, representative of the marketing department of Co.opmart Bien Hoa (Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province), said: During the upcoming Vietnamese National Day, Co.opmart Bien Hoa supermarket will launch a consumption stimulus program called “Vietnamese supermarket with pride” The program will run continuously for 21 days, from August 28 to September 17, at Co.opmart Bien Hoa supermarket in particular and across the entire Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarket system nationwide, including online shopping channels in general.

Le Duc Thuan, director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai (Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province), said: Currently, Vietnamese goods account for about 80% of the shelves at Lotte Mart, mainly focusing on food, agricultural products, and OCOP products (One commune one product program)… For the upcoming Vietnamese National Day, Lotte Mart Dong Nai will launch various major promotions and consumption stimulus programs for Vietnamese goods with a wide range of products. These include programs such as “Unforgettable years” with many discounts on long-established Vietnamese brands; “The power of Vietnamese goods” applying promotional policies for Vietnamese products in dry food, coffee, milk, and agricultural products; and the “Aspiration of five continents” program with numerous imported products at promotional prices.

In addition to traditional channels, consumers are now familiar with and even prefer online shopping platforms. During the upcoming Vietnamese National Day, many e-commerce platforms will also step up major promotions and consumption stimulus programs for Vietnamese goods such as regional specialties, fashion products, stationery, and household items…

Representatives of many supermarkets and commercial centers in the province said they have proactively prepared supplies, implemented major promotional programs, increased staffing, and enhanced decoration and display of Vietnamese goods in eye-catching, meticulous setups to attract consumers for shopping.

Trang Phuc further shared: On this occasion, Co.opmart Bien Hoa especially expresses gratitude to customers with many attractive programs such as: “Pride in red - receive Vietnamese agricultural products” exclusively for member customers, “Check-in Co.op – receive gifts with pride”… In addition, there are many other engaging activities, such as the “Shopping Season” page with discounted products, the “Instant gift - Shopping passion” program with numerous valuable vouchers, and online mini games on the Co.op Online app.

Nguyen Thi Phuong, a resident of Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai province, shared: “During this holiday, I’ve noticed that supermarkets have prepared abundant supplies and attractively decorated Vietnamese product stalls with vibrant colors. Notably, many Vietnamese goods are being offered with major promotions and discounts during this period.”

Diverse channels to promote Vietnamese specialties

Alongside Vietnamese goods consumption stimulus activities and programs, during the upcoming Vietnamese National Day, many supermarkets and commercial centers in the province are also intensifying promotional campaigns for Vietnamese agricultural products and specialties, especially famous OCOP products from localities across the country.

According to Vu Thanh Tan, representative of the communications department of Central Retail Corporation Joint Stock Companyin Vietnam (the managing unit of the Big C/GO! supermarket system), during the upcoming Vietnamese National Day holiday, the “Vietnamese specialties with pride” festival 2025 will simultaneously take place at GO!, Tops Market, and GO! supermarkets nationwide, including supermarkets in Dong Nai such as: GO! Tan Hiep, GO! Dong Nai (BigC Dong Nai), GO! Nhon Trach… until September 10.

This program showcases and promotes 160 regional specialty products and notable OCOP items such as: Mo village tofu (Hanoi), Moc Chau crisp persimmons (Son La), Quang Ninh milk oysters, Da river clean fish (Phu Tho), smoked buffalo meat (Lao Cai), Gioi Phien arrowroot vermicelli (Lao Cai), grilled tuna (Nghe An), sea crabs (Ca Mau), basa fish (Dong Thap), king oranges, Nam Roi pomelos (Vinh Long)…

Similarly, Do Doan Thanh, head of the marketing department at Co.opmart Dong Xoai supermarket (Binh Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province), said: During the upcoming Vietnamese National Day, Co.opmart Dong Xoai will focus on implementing the 'Honoring Vietnamese goods' program and connecting Vietnamese goods with consumers. This program offers discounts of up to 50% for high-quality Vietnamese products in five categories: household appliances, cosmetics, garments, processed food, and fresh food, through programs such as: Nutrition for school, Proud Vietnamese agricultural products, Shopping Season, Vietnamese supermarket - Super saving deals…

“This is one of the biggest promotional programs of the year implemented by Co.opmart Dong Xoai supermarket in response to the campaign ‘Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods'. The program is expected to connect consumers with Vietnamese products and specialties, opening up many promotional channels for Vietnamese goods,” Thanh emphasized.
